Jussie Smollett has been a regular on "Empire" since its first season.
Jussie Smollett has reportedly been cut from scenes of Fox's "Empire" that are scheduled to be filmed in this week, according to Deadline and TMZ. Smollett has alleged that he was assaulted by two men in a racist and homophobic attack in late January. On Saturday, sources from the Chicago police investigation said that they had reason to believe that Smollett may have paid the men to stage the assault, CNN reported Saturday. Smollett has denied the claims that he orchestrated the attack.
Filming of "Empire" will continue this week, but according to Deadline and TMZ, multiple scenes featuring actor Jussie Smollett have been cut from production.
Smollett has been cut from five of nine scenes as well as a musical number, sources told TMZ. The Fox hit is currently filming in Chicago.
This news comes as police continue to investigate whether Smollett himself was involved in staging a late January assault to make it appear to be a racist and homophobic hate crime, as CNN reported Saturday. Sources told CNN that Chicago Police believe Smollett may have paid two men to stage the attack.

Yep, probably one of the reasons the left wants to put the internet under federal control, so they can have “internet inspectors” policing it, just like the postal inspectors police our mail.
Sounds like a couple of cooperating witnesses got themselves immunity in exchange for their testimony.

Kind of like the coach of a losing team gets a very public “vote of confidence” from the owner. The coach, players, fans and everyone with a functional brain cell knows the coach is yesterday’s toast.
What would they charge them with anyway? Pretending to beat up someone who hired you to do exactly that? They're not the ones perpetrating the fraud.
Damn. I was way off. I guess I was thinking of friends and the Big Bang theory who got a million an episode and that was every actor at least on friends. I know empire isn’t that popular but it did do well at first.
Then figure the 10% his agent takes, plus probably 5% his business manager takes, plus taxes, then multiply by the 75 episodes the show is at, and he probably hasn’t cleared a million bucks total over the run.
Wow. He’s in trouble legally and financially. No wonder he could only give 7,000 for the stunt. Lol. He’s so dumb.
As I said elsewhere, the ultimate irony would be for Jussie to hang himself in his jail cell when that time comes.

How about conspiracy to make to terroristic threats through the US mail? They knew about the letter, and “word on the street” is that police found magazines with torn-out pages that may match the cut-out letters in the threat in the brothers’ apartment.
So you’re going to try them for terroristically threatening someone who asked them to do it, and who knew it wasn’t a real threat?
