“It’s a heck of a turnaround,” MSNBC’s Joe Scarborough said at the start of “Morning Joe” on Thursday, as he cited President Donald Trump’s rising poll numbers — despite the government shutdown.
A Gallup poll conducted Feb. 1-10 shows Trump with 44 percent approval — up from 37 percent in mid-January. “The latest increase in approval is mainly the result of political independents’ improved opinions of Trump,” Gallup noted.
Scarborough blamed Democrat “overreach” for boosting Trump, and he urged Democrats to be guided by House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, who “knows how to beat Donald Trump.”
“Democrats can’t afford any more unforced errors,” Scarborough said, “because all they are doing is making the once unthinkable now possible and that is the election of Donald Trump in 2020. They’ve got to play smarter.” …

I forget. Is Scarborough considered a "journalist" or a "talking head" (Opinion show host)? That comment seems just a little bit biased, almost cheerleader-esque.

it was never “unthinkable”. pretty much all the pundits (lib and conservative alike) have been saying all along that Trump is likely to be re-elected in 2020, and this was well before the Dems self-immolated themselves with the recent GND insanity and overt calls for socialism ...
btw, what’s happening with the Dem Presidential clown car crowd is exactly what i’ve been recently predicting, namely that they would each try to out-leftist the others ...
i just didn’t foresee the I’m-more-leftist-than-you-are contest starting this early, which btw, just means that the extended out-leftisting time period will result in the eventual Dem primary “winner” being WAY more leftist than if they hadn’t started the contest so early ...
absent a black-swan event, my prediction is that Trump will win a second term in a blowout cakewalk ...

Whoever the candidate is will need to defend GND or explain that it is not doable. The first loses indies. The second loses millenial progs. And Trump will allow the candidate no room to wiggle. The candidate will have to embrace socialism or openly deny it. Same result. Again Trump will leave no wiggle room. Pelosi will be of no help unless she cuts ties with the sociaists NOW.
They’ve already lost unions with that “GND” (which could be renamed as “gross national disaster” at this point).

Morning Joe is, to some degree, correct.
It’s not overreach, it’s tone deaf, unreasonable, ideologically based derangement with only fabricated propaganda to support it. Anyone can see it.
And he claimed to be a Republican one time - was that before or after the intern controversy? And when he was a repub elected rep he was just GOPe right - not a conservative republican true Republican....nope! He was a RINO and now he wears girly panties!
