Ezra Levant of The Rebel.media reports on Donald Trump singing an executive order strengthening Buy American requirements for US infrastructure projects.
The Mexicans took the problem of the end of NAFTA seriously and negotiated the best deal they could, while Turd-owe and Free-of-thinking, pushed an agenda of 'LGBTQ rights' be included in the new trade deal. (Yes, I kid you not!)
Surprised that 'messico' abandoned its apparent 'solidarity' with the Canadian negotiators and signed a separate deal with the US, our 'brain trust' of Turd-owe and Free-of-thought (God help us!) scrambled at the last minute to get something, ANYTHING, to save face. What we got were the crumbs that even a dog would turn up its nose at! Buried in the deal, is the fact that ONLY Mexican firms are allowed to bid on basically ANY US government contracts for virtually ANYTHING. Canada is SOL. That means no federally, state nor municipally funded contracts in the US are open to Canadian firms, but they are open to Mexican firms.
The vast majority of the press in Canada are either unaware of this or, being beneficiaries of $595 million CDN from the Turd-owe gubmint to ensure no 'foreign interference' (wink, wink, nudge, nudge) in Canadian 'nuze', have wilfully ignored this. No US military supply contacts, car production, and ESPECIALLY, no OIL or GAS PIPELINES.
Pierre's (or is he Fidel's) little boy is by far, the absolute WORST Prime Minister that Canada has ever had! I believe that Pierre is spinning in his grave over how rotten Justine is, as PM. The old man, despite his communist leanings, had a brain in his head! His supposed spawn seems to lack ANY intelligence, whatsoever!
Of course his mother was, and is, a stoner. He definitely takes after his ma! He did legalize pot in Canada. They say that pot kills brain cells. Of course, Justine had little to spare, to begin with.
Well, it was music to may ears!
I understand what you are saying. However, most construction materials are commodities. They are standardized. Their costs delivered to a certain destination are typically tied to their freight almost as much as their manufacturing cost. For example, you are not going to ship Portland cement from Phoenix to a job in New York. There is too much freight.
By eliminating Canadian manufactured construction items, you are going to make jobs in close proximity to the Canadian border more expensive. In some of these construction commodities the predominant market share in markets like New England are ALL Canadian origin. Go into any lumber yard here in NH and almost ALL the framing lumber and OSB comes from Canada. The plywood comes from OR and LA. The Treated lumber all comes from the Southeast US.
It is not as if Canada is a third world country like Mexico that pays its workers $2/hour. The only real difference in trade with Canada is their currency exchange rate.
At least you have a BORDER separating you from him! In Alberta, we don’t!
I was (and still am) proud of my United Empire Loyalist heritage, my ancestors having stood with King George. That said, my country has left me. Canada has veered so far into the leftist weed (yes, a double entendre), that I support Western separation. Turd-owe and multiple previous Lieberal governments have supported mass immigration of uneducated, welfare-seeking turd world refugees who add NOTHING to our economy and, in fact, are a DRAIN on Canada.
While I am for immigration to Canada of people who will FIT IN and ADD VALUE to my country, and REAL REFUGEES who WANT TO FIT IN, the Lieberals continue to import those who want to CHANGE my country into THEIR turd-world hellhole! NO WAY!
OK, maybe not 'great again' (which will take a VERY long time) but 'much more sane, again'!
No, this is not me but I agree 100% with the sentiment. Monday, October 21, 2019 IS coming!
We know how it’s possible for Trudeau to sit like that!
