Colorado Dems advance bill on national popular vote pact
DENVER (AP) - - Colorado’s Senate has passed a bill to have the state award its presidential electoral votes to the winner of the national popular vote.
Democratic Sen. Mike Foote’s bill would have Colorado join 11 states and the District of Columbia in what’s called the National Popular Vote Interstate Compact.
It would replace the Electoral College, in which 270 electoral votes are needed to win the U.S. presidency. Compact proponents say it would go into effect once enough states with 270 votes enter the pact.
Colorado has nine electoral votes. Compact members currently have 172 electors.
The bill, which passed on party lines Tuesday, goes to the Democrat-controlled House.
Several presidents, most recently Donald Trump in 2016, were elected with an electoral college majority despite losing the popular vote.

One new danger hurtling towards us is deepfakes audio and video material created by software which depicts real-life people saying and doing things that they have never done or said. We have for years been familiar with the CGI techniques employed by filmmakers. They used to be laborious and costly. Now they are cheap and quick. Deepfakes could be used to make a politician seem ridiculous or reprehensibleor to issue an order to surrender.

All agreements, contracts and pacts entered into by the individual states are subject to review and approval of the Federal Government.
well that sucks...
the dems have been very active in attempting to kill the Constitution and Babies this month...
Someone better challenge this-It is not constitutional and serves to disenfranchise the majority voters in that state who have voted for someone other than the National Popular Vote winner (Ie NewYork and California Picks).

Isnt the electoral college in the Constitution? If so, a state law cannot override the Constitution without going through the amendment process.
There isn't such a thing.
If there was, it would mean the RAT cities would always elect a RAT President.
