Record cold here. Fireplace insert installed today. Hubby has it stoked and the front room is so hot you sweat in a short sleeve shirt. Not so toasty in front of the computer-but I have my electric throw, so very comfy here.

I read today that flesh will freeze in just minutes. Smart criminals will stay home and drink hot toddies. LOL If they are dumb enough to go out....

Grew up in WI. I remember a winter day, a still winter day, when little rods of ice started falling. You could hear the tinkle of the rods hitting the ice. Very weird and a very beautiful sound.

Actually, with an unheated garage and more than -40 degrees you go out about every 3 hours and start the vehicles to make sure they will start in the morning. It’s a cold trek and not so easy to go back to sleep afterwards.

The old Willy’s pick-up has an electric block heater plugged in. It sits outside, but the snow plow has priority.

IIRC, the parking meters in Winnipeg had outlets on them to plug your car’s block heater in while you were shopping. The thing was, though, if that meter timed out the power was cut. I imagine that virtually solved the problem of parking at expired meters.

Sorry I couldn’t finish the article. Too wordy. The several paragraphs I read are all building on speculation, and assumption that POTUS is a moron.

Whatever game is afoot, POTUS knows the possible twists and turns and has a plan. POTUS said there was no collusion. So they won’t find a darn thing no matter how many rocks they turn over-all they’ll find is their fellow snakes and swamp critters running for cover.
