IMHO it started with the removal of prayer in the schools back in the 60s but it sure seems to be picking up speed.

Maybe Trump was the President for this time to speed it along, we know what the end game is, and we know which side we want to be on, only one side will win.

Okay, we’re about my anal need for organization.

Inside the larger cardboard box I have little boxes. They are opened, like maybe a tea box with the top removed. Anything small like that. And then I have a bunch of say double a batteries laying next to each other with one strip of masking tape holding them together on one side. They are just as long as that little tea box and fit inside it. I keep different sizes open batteries in each tiny little box. I’ll put tissue paper or something in between them so that there is no contact when I put the next layer on. If there is even is one. I don’t usually have more than a few open batteries at a time.

There used to be advice to keep your batteries in the refrigerator. I never had room in my refrigerators so I kept him at the cabin where it was around freezing in the winter when we weren’t there. Now they are in the basement. Anything to get them a little bit cooler. But we don’t have a real basement, it’s not real cool and there’s not much humidity.

I use the same rule of thumb with them as I do with food storage. Every decrease of 10° C doubles the food storage life. Don’t know if it’s true for batteries but what the heck!

IMHO the lying, scumbag, despicable FAKE NEWS and the leftists working for the federal government made it impossible for the president to continue the shutdown.

They have been working hard to convince the public that poor people and children are starving, going without meds and medical care and that the shutdown
is endangering the safety of people - especially those travelling by air.

The air traffic shutdown today made it clear they are succeeding.

What would the leftists' next step be?
To allow people to die so they can blame the president?
Don't doubt they would do it if the airline shutdown didn't work.

We knew that Trump was not a strict conservative when we voted for him.

He is a Patriot, a Wheeler-Dealer and an oportiunist.
Historically, if one position or plan isn't working for him he takes his lumps and moves on to Plan-B.

This struggle isn't over yet, it's only the end of the first inning.

Or as he states it in the Art of the Deal, he stays flexible. He doesn’t get too attached to anyone plan. But changes as the situation changes, always keeping the objective in sight.

And his supporters still aren’t used to this even though we have seen it dozens of times. We think he is caving, backtracking, when all he is doing is changing direction and dropping the old plan that isn’t working and finding a new one. A new one that he probably already knew about and had in place, just in case.

That’s the secret of successful people.

I’ve had a time to think about this over a very nice lunch.

In reality, the Democrats have gotten nothing ... nothing from the President. We need to remember this during the onslaught of “Pelosi Won” “news” coverage. We may even need a separate prayer thread for our strength through this.

The President merely agreed to an intermission.

And it’s a good time for one. The President could use some time out of the WH, playing some golf, clearing his head, hearing from advisors and friends outside the Washington bubble.

Round two begins in three weeks.

I’m pretty sure Trump already knows what his next action is going to be. I imagine he knew long ago what his response would be to any of various strategies by the Democrats.

That didn’t stop me from emailing and saying that I support him but I still expect a wall.

But I hope you’re right, that he just relaxes. But I doubt it, he’ll probably be working in the Oval Office everyday just as he did during the shutdown.
