Lots of emphasis on how to think with less on what to think. Lots of brainstorming and looking for all possibilities.
In the World government class we actually read the communist manifesto and compared it to our constitution (which we were studying at same time in US Government class.).

We read through five newspaper daily in one class
NYT, WSJ, Christian Science, local and one other
Comparing how they presented the same story opened many an eye
Would have loved to have the same teacher using internet. (His parents were Russian. He was Air Force/CIA. Sent more than one to office to make a phone call to answer one of our questions. REally exciting the hear the operator for WH or pentagon on the other end of phone !
