Our neighborhood in Bakersfield was starting to get bad when we left. Lots of cars getting broken into at the time we put the house up for sale. Now I hear if they are going into the homes more often. It’s just one step at a time.

Was prepared for home invasions. The meth lab people knew this and never accosted me when I exited my car to open the garage door before we had it automated. Funny story: our first security camera was mounted outside the front door so we could view any visitors before opening door. That camera was stolen, so hubby mounted one that recorded through the peep hole. An armed robber made the unwise choice of entering our street (cul de sac) and had a shootout with the police. The meth lab was within full view of our camera. We gave the police the entire tape (ditto for our neighbor who had installed the same system) and the meth lab was raided and closed within a short interval. The police were so happy; one of them said, “You’re not going to believe this! We have two videos of the whole thing!” (Maybe they wanted auditory evidence that the perp fired the first shot. There was one pea-shooter shot and then three large-caliber rounds fired. It was nice that we got to support them!)

Its like a spring day here. Took Mayzie to park after school, fed ducks, worked out on equipment then Mazie played on playground.

we are going to add a disclaimer to the pool in the event that the media lies or the libs cover up the fact that she is no longer able to be on the Court. So the actual exact date might change.

That is excellent news that you helped out the cops. But my gosh, what a scary time you must have had living there. No wonder you wanted to get to Tennessee.

I love how everyone here is usually carrying. And usually carrying multiple weapons. Anyone would be a fool to try something. When we were house hunting I can even count the number of houses we saw that had gun safes in the living room in point I guess the guy we bought our house from thought he was being sneaky, his gun safe was in the bedroom. Came with the house :-)
