Khan al-Asal (Arabic: Al-Assal also spelled Khan al-Assal) is a district of Aleppo city in northern Syria. It is administratively a sub-district of Aleppo, which is a part of the Mount Simeon District in the Aleppo Governorate. Khan al-Asal is located 12 kilometers (7.5 mi) west-southwest of the center of Aleppo.
I know. I did start asking my parents and aunt questions, and wrote down names, places, years. I found a long lost second cousin of my dad, his sister, and their first cousin. He sent me a file on the family with marriages, deaths, children, and property ownership, which I made copies of and gave to them. They were delighted! I got busy and haven’t got back into doing research since.
When my friend’s mom passed, she was talking about her grandmother, who had died a few days after giving birth to her mom. I got what little information she knew and found her grave and some other information. She was so happy because it was one of the cemeteries where you can leave comments, donate for upkeep, leave e-flowers at the picture of the grave.
I can’t even post what I think about these people on this forum.
It is.
House Democrats unveil bill to obtain Trump’s tax returns, put checks on White House

Thankfully you and your daughter were there. :-)
I agree with you on that. Actually, Im not 200% sold on term limits. Yes, it would be good to get rid of some of the dead weight career politicians.
I was all for them until we voted term limits in CA. Now the politicians just go from a state job, to a city job, to a county job. The same politicians are recycled like MLB managers And they dont care what they vote for, because they know they will be termed out.
Maybe it would be different with Fed politicians.
Looks like he’s in the chairman of the board mode ! Note meeting is in HIS territory.

Doing his job! How many people in our State Department are there!
You are correct, CPA firm work is boring. I started out as a corporate accountant & got my CPA by working on the year-end autits along with our outside auditors. I was an internal auditor at the time. Internal auditing was probably the best job I ever had. I found the corporate accounting to be monotonous & boring with the monthly closing over & over again. Luckily I was able to move up to IA.
Now, after tax season, I only work until 2:00 and wear shorts to the office every day. And I can take off any time to see my kids games.
I spent a month on a joint venture audit in Kinshasa, then Zaire. I told the idiot I went with not to wear anything expensive & hide all of his valuables. Sure enough, he wore a Rolex. Upon landing, customs spotted his watch. We spent several hours in a basement room of the airport with some very young kid holding a machine gun on us, while other soldiers tore apart our bags looking for anything they could steal.
We couldnt communicate with them & finally the JV partners had to come & get us out.
I could of killed that guy & when we got back, he was out of the department within a month.
Rusty,I would like to share the following story with you.
My brother Dennis was born prematurely in 1949, and died three days later. His lungs had not developed sufficiently to support life.
At the time, my parents had been married 12 years and had three other children. My father was working two jobs that year to save up for a down payment on a house.
In the hectic time that followed, my brother was buried in an unmarked grave, along with other babies who died.
The pressure of life and raising three other young children made my parents cover over the hurt and get on with life.
I came along a few years later—I was the surprise, my mom said. She was 37 when she had me.
The older siblings grew up and married and left home, so I had my mom and dad to myself from the age of 12 on.
One of the things my mom used to say was that she didn’t know where Dennis was, where he was buried. They knew the cemetery, but not the location.
Fast forward many years later, to 1984.
I knew a local funeral director, because three members of my wife’s family had passed in the previous few years.
I gathered information about Dennis and brought it to him, and asked him if he would investigate where my brother was. I needed an exact location, if possible.
About a month later he told me that he had found him, gave me the block and plot number in that cemetery a few towns over.
I went to the that cemetery and met with the keeper. With the information I had, he looked up in the handwritten books and brought me to the very spot Dennis was buried. It was in an open, unmarked area in the cemetery, so I placed a stone there so I could find it again.
A few days later, I told my parents I had a surprise for them, and took them on a little ride. Of course my mom was asking where we were going, but I told her it was a surprise.
I brought them to the spot, and told my mom that she often said she wanted to know where Dennis was.
I told here—he is right here, and I explained what was done to get to this point.
Her face lit up, she was so happy. My dad too, because this was an open sore they had to cover over to deal with life and raising three other children at the time.
I took a picture of them standing over the spot, smiling.
A chapter in their lives had closed. They were glad, not sad, to finally be where Dennis was.
My father died in 2001, and my mom died in 2011.
My mom always said that she was so happy to finally find Dennis.
And I thought Whitaker was going to come in & put the reigns on Mueller. So far, I havent seen any difference between Whitaker & Sesions.
I suppose this means any declassication will also be delayed at least 6 months.
