Well, this seems to have become an annual event. Alone on Christmas Eve, reaching out to my fellow FReepers.
Myself, I have my daughter's hermit crab for company. And some great classical Christmas music. And, a little later, George Bailey and friends via BluRay.
Anyone else spending this evening solo?

I am alone at Christmas, as I always am. Gettin’ older though. Sitting here with my two doggies who are trying too stay warm by the heater.
I opted out of candlelight service this evening, so it’s just me and the two pups. Tomorrow should be plenty lively, however! Merry Christmas!
I’m here—just me, myself and I drinkin’ beer, jamming out to classic rock & having a good time. My biggest worry is what’s for lunch tomorrow—like that’s a problem... :)
So sorry about your husband. I remember him well, and how gracious and welcoming you both were to Nathan Bedford, your fellow Glen Ridgeian. I have known him since he was 11 and I was 12; we spent 6 years together at school. He is a brilliant and learned lawyer and freeper. Haven’t heard from him in a while. I wonder if he survived on FR during the past 3 or 4 years.
Yep just me and my Jack Russell Bandit, all my family lives in Canada, all is good.

Yep! Had the kids here yesterday, family shindig a couple of weeks ago so tonight it’s leftovers and a 1930s murder mystery while the dogs chase that pesky squirrel in their sleep and the XXL-sized cat hogs the couch.

Not trying to minimize that lonely holiday feeling, I am intimately acquainted with that horror for WAY too many years.
I spend all holidays solo. I’m use to it, no big deal. I just treat it like any other day. Sometimes, I’ll fix a special dinner. Tomorrow maybe; pork roast with lots of garlic, potato dumplings, pork drippings&tomato paste gravy. (Polish meal) I had turkey, etc. for Thanksgiving. My dog loved it too. :)

Me and GSD watching Antenna TV while the spouse does a few bouts of choir.
I’m getting over a bug that hit hard and fast. I was borderline conscious at times on Saturday. 0 strength or energy. Sunday at 50 percent. Now, apart from a cough that won’t quite go away, I feel ok.
What is “Italian beef”? I have no doubt it’s good.
