Well, this seems to have become an annual event. Alone on Christmas Eve, reaching out to my fellow FReepers.
Myself, I have my daughter's hermit crab for company. And some great classical Christmas music. And, a little later, George Bailey and friends via BluRay.
Anyone else spending this evening solo?
Life does proceed.
Take care, stay safe.
Nope, but I think your post just made me appreciate my family!
No, but I wish you well. There’s more people than you know thinking about you.
The wife and I are home alone. By choice
But I’ve been where you are. Just me and my dogs. One year we’all stayed in bed til 2PM just to pass the day.
Merry Christmas to everyone, whether solo, or coupled or with your families
By the way, what color crab? (Be thankful your foxhole or trench is not flooded. And you have a 2:00 am wake-up. So you can go look at another black night.
Just in case somebody else is not celebrating Christmas.
(In my case, it was watching a shutdown reactor staying properly cold and shutdown.)
Not solo, but wishing you a Merry Christmas!! God Bless!!
I am alone, my wife is at our daughter’s two days ahead of me for some girl time. I’ll get there tomorrow.
More seriously, my brother very recently lost his wife of 50 years and is alone tonight. I wish I could be with him.
Working, but it sure is quiet!
I spent 5 Chriatmas’s alone after my divorce. You are not alone we are with you.
Yep, as usual, but I’ve got my wire hair fox terrier right beside me.
Merry Christmas!!
My mom died this summer so we kids are not getting
all together this year, saw my sister then my brother
for a while today and will spend some time having dinner
with my brother tomorrow.
Stopped in at the AutoZone store to wish my friend william
a merry Christmas. He spent a Christmas in Afghanistan 2010
and I spent two in Vietnam in 66 and 67.
Oooorah, my brothers!
Merry Christmas All!
Yeh, me too.
Bad planning on my part. Poor advance appreciation of what is valuable. Like the Maidens with their lamps.
Ar least we have people who are missing us as we are missing them.
That’s “Christmas” too.
Merry Christmas!
Take good care.
Hey. Hang in there. Embrace the quiet solitude. As much as I love my family if much rather be chill8ng out at home tonight than enduring the madenning excitement and jackassery of my drunk loudmouth extended family members.
This is number ..... (quick finger counting ......) ten in a row for me.
Not that I'm complaining. After the divorce the first few were rough. But, I've come to enjoy the peace and quiet of a slow, relaxing solo night before Christmas.
Merry Christmas one and all!!
I am, sort of, we had Christmas Eve plans with our Son and his family because they have other plans tomorrow. My wife got sick this morning so we are staying home and she is in bed... I tuned into the live feed from my mom’s church for their Christmas Eve service instead. Checked here during one of their non traditional musical selections...
