Toblerone, the iconic triangular shaped chocolate bars have been made halal to meet the demands of the Islamic market.
The change, that silently took place in April this year, has now been revealed to Swiss newspaper Blick. Owned by the American food company Mondelez, all Toblerone bars are being produced in the Swiss city of Bern.
A spokeswoman of the company explains to Blick that since April the sweets comply with the Islamic purity law and ingredients and production now meet halal standards.
She says the “Toblerone’s original recipe remained unchanged”. She justifies the change with Toblerone’s status as export product: 97 per cent of the bars are exported to other countries.
Specifically the halal certification means that the production process must be inspected and approved by imams as being in line with Islamic standards

Well, I can certainly do without them.
Halal means animal cruelty.
But you’ll never hear the PETA bullies breathe a word of that.
They only bully those-who-can-be-bullied.
Protection racket. Employ the imams or the candy gets it.
I am of the opinion that Christians should NOT consume ANYTHING that is “halal” but especially halal meats. In order for an animal to be categorized as halal, it must be sacrificed using the utterance of the Islamic prayer Bismillah. In my opinion, that means the animal has been sacrificed to an idol.

Crossed that off the Christmas list, never buy another one.
This stuff is now dedicated to "Allah" during the making process. And the groups that do the Halal certification have often been found to be donating to terror groups behind the scenes.

Why would an infidel eat something made by someone sworn to murder them?
They're getting some imam to certify that the chocolate is halal, as rabbis certify that it's kosher, without changing anything in the recipe.
