I am of the opinion that Christians should NOT consume ANYTHING that is “halal” but especially halal meats. In order for an animal to be categorized as halal, it must be sacrificed using the utterance of the Islamic prayer Bismillah. In my opinion, that means the animal has been sacrificed to an idol.
1 Corinthians 10:28 NIV
But if someone says to you, “This has been offered in sacrifice,” then do not eat it, both for the sake of the one who told you and for the sake of conscience.
Let's get down to brass tacks.
Sacrificed = The animal has it's throat slit and dies a slow and painful death screaming in agony.
Is this ceremony required of the chocolate? I am not aware of any need to sacrifice animals in its manufacture.

Ask no questions but for conscience sake. However, if the person selling the meat declares “This is Halal!” then back away and don’t eat. To do so makes you appear to support moslem nonsense.
On the other hand, I have no problems with Kosher products.
