POTUS has sent a letter to the Speaker of the House extending the National Emergency declared in Executive Order 13818 of December 20, 2017
*************
And as a result, he can fund the wall, and if necessary use the military to build it (hoping).

Rush is quoting Catherine Herridge of Fox saying she fully believes Sullivan was mocking the prosecutors with the over-the-top serious manner he used asking Flynn questions.
That was kind of my first hunch when I was reading Bitt’s play-by-play of this.

Michael Flynn Is Owed an Apology
One year after he pleaded guilty to lying to the FBI, there is still no evidence that he is a traitor.
Remember when Michael Flynn was a traitor? It was early 2017. Democrats were still stinging from their defeat at the hands of Donald Trump. Every day, it seemed, brought news of another contact between Trumpworld and Russia.
Flynn, a retired three-star general, was forced to resign after serving less than a month as Trumps national security adviser. He was said to have colluded with Russians during the presidential transition. For this he was defamed as a Russian agent and mocked as a bumbling Benedict Arnold. Former officials of Barack Obamas administration hinted that Flynn had been compromised.
As it turns out, none of this was true. On Tuesday Flynn will receive a sentence for the one count to which he has pleaded guilty, lying to the FBI. Special Counsel Robert Mueller has recommended no jail time. Flynn will have a chance to get on with his life.
So how did Washington get sucked into believing that Michael Flynn had betrayed his country? Part of it, surely, is guilt by association; the proposition that Trump wants to appease Russia even if he has not acted on his wishes is not far-fetched. Trump has denied that the Russians hacked Democrats and released their emails, openly contradicting the U.S. intelligence community (and, for that matter, Flynn). During his campaign Trump flattered Russian President Vladimir Putin, and has continued to do so during his presidency.

I didn’t know the song, but thought the lyrics that were posted were very good, great images conjured from them. I searched a couple lines of the poem (using duckduckgo, not google) and the song came up. I went on youtube and searchd for the song, and then listened. Very nice. Thought you might enjoy hearing it.
You can find any song or poem by searching for a few of the lines.
I think Dusty Springfield is the one that sang Son of a Preacher Man. Great voice.

(I may be deplorable, but I'm not getting in that basket.)
However, New York Attorney General Barbara Underwood announced on Tuesday that her office will continue to pursue its lawsuit against the foundation. The Trump Foundation was never the most impressive part of Trumps portfolio: At its peak, in 2009, it had only about $3.2 million in the bank, a small sum for a billionaires charity. * * * Full Statement from AG Underwood A.G. Underwood Announces Stipulation Dissolving Trump Foundation Under Judicial Supervision, With AG Review Of Recipient Charities AG Underwood's Lawsuit Remains Ongoing Today, Attorney General Barbara D. Underwood announced that following a court decision in favor of the Attorney General the Trump Foundation has signed a stipulation agreeing to dissolve under judicial supervision, with review and approval by the Attorney General of proposed recipient charities of the Foundations remaining assets. This stipulation follows the court decision last month allowing Attorney General Underwoods lawsuit against the Trump Foundation to move forward. Attorney General Underwoods lawsuit sought the dissolution of the Foundation under judicial supervision and with the oversight of the Attorney General's Charities Bureau. The lawsuit which also seeks millions in restitution and penalties and a bar on President Trump and his three eldest children from serving on the boards of other New York charities remains ongoing. Attorney General Underwood released the following statement: Our petition detailed a shocking pattern of illegality involving the Trump Foundation including unlawful coordination with the Trump presidential campaign, repeated and willful self-dealing, and much more. This amounted to the Trump Foundation functioning as little more than a checkbook to serve Mr. Trumps business and political interests. Todays stipulation accomplishes a key piece of the relief sought in our lawsuit earlier this year. Under the terms, the Trump Foundation can only dissolve under judicial supervision and it can only distribute its remaining charitable assets to reputable organizations approved by my office. This is an important victory for the rule of law, making clear that there is one set of rules for everyone. Well continue to move our suit forward to ensure that the Trump Foundation and its directors are held to account for their clear and repeated violations of state and federal law. The Attorney General filed the stipulation with the court today; it is awaiting the judges signature. We are sure the probe of The Clinton Foundation will be along shortly. https://www.zerohedge.com/news/2018-12-18/trump-foundation-agrees-dissolve-amid-shocking-pattern-illegality

Defendants sometime plea to things they didn’t do, to avoid the chance of prison, or a more serious charge. Judges are supposed to determine if the plea is voluntary, and if it is supported by the facts. Defendants who have decided to plea guilty, even if innocent, are often forced to go through a recitation of the facts and agree that they are true, even if they are not. “Yes, judge, I did enter that house with intent to commit burglary. I understand my right to a trial, but choose not to exercise it”. It’s a kabuki that the system goes through to make itself feel better about fascist prosecutors.
