Some people know how to make an entrance, while others specialize in exits.
On December 6th, 17-year old Jackson Racicot posted a video titled, How I quit my job today, on Facebook. As of today, the video has been viewed nearly 300,000 times.
The teen quit his job at the Walmart Grande Prairie Supercentre in Alberta, Canada, by reading a prepared speech into a store-wide intercom system, Insider reports.
Attention all shoppers, associates and management, I would like to say to all of you today that nobody should work here, ever, he said over the speakers. Our managers will make promises and never keep them.
During his remarks, Racicot noted that he has been working for Walmart for over a year and a half, and calls out his assistant manager for insulting him.
[Management] will preach to us about how they care about their employees but about a month ago, my boss, assistant manager Cora called me a waste of time, and management did nothing.

Good for him. On the flip-side he’ll definitely want to bury, to the extent that he can at this point, that he ever worked there. Imagine a prospective employer contacting Walmart for a reference.
17 eh? Lots of jobs suck, but you put your head down do you work and muddle through. When you have a better opportunity, move one — but do it without making a scene. This kid will learn the hard way that no one likes a drama queen.
Sounds like Cora had a pretty good read on things.
He is probably just upset they haven’t put him on the board of directors yet. After all he is 17.
He better have some talent other than complaining because no one will ever hire this weirdo after this stunt.
Is Cora a female? If so can anyone imagine the political fallout if Cora’s Assistant Manager who was a male said that to her?
And he was dumb enough to post it on Facebook for the whole world and prospective employers to see.
Hire teenagers while they still know everything.
He sees that someone like Occasional Kotex is in congress in the USA so now everybody feels entitled.
They won’t remember. My son worked there for a few years, even an employee of the month once. He had to go through an extensive background check recently, and Walmart had no record of him working there.
Back when US biz cared to hire AMERICANS, I would have called him a snot.
But NOW...??
.......
Ah yes, another snowflake bites the dust.
They probably had the temerity to ask him to work.
Eh, Canada...
The last time I was in a Chinamart, I wanted to grab the PA myself and say, "Why the eff do ya have 15 cash registers yet only 2 are open with huge lines, ya cheap bastards!"
300,000 people have no interest in hiring him.
Entertaining, yes, but very childish and unprofessional.
I wouldn’t never hire him. His new employer will certainly find out about this and be put on notice about their new employee. He’s a complainer and will trash you publicly.
I suspect they may keep him as part time or On Call only if not just finding a way to fire him. He is Toxic in Toronto, or whichever Canadian city it is.
The kid had more guts than 99% of adult workers.
Perhaps. I guess it depends on how you define “guts”.
Snowflake Meltdown for this month.
