I knew the war on radio would continue to get worse once a certain 1910 Fruitgum Company hit was no longer being played.
Several still may be. But not one particular song of theirs.
Reminds me of a Seinfeld episode...can we go back to 1969?

This will keep on until everything of the past is destroyed: statues, songs, books, films: anything that does not fit into the narrow and shallow, politically-corrected narrative of the moment. This is communism in action.

What’s left? Bambi, Cinderella: racist homophobic? coming to a legacy near you. No foundation left unturned.

I agree in principle about the snowflakes, but I’ve always despised that song.

Is there anything that is not sexist, racist, homophobic, etc. etc. etc. etc. etc. /r
Btw, it is cold outside. Any snugglers available. :)

My deal with it is that it is in no way a Christmas song.

Identity politics is ruining comedy. I heard about an SNL comedy writer being booed of the stage at Columbia University. When they turn on their own, you know things are bad.

Just the latest flag burning of the political class. GHWBushs favorite campaigning technique. Make the election about something trivial right away. Then you can ignore the issues.

Will the war on free speech by the fascists and those who long to enslave this population succeed? Take a look at big tech, the latest of whom is Sam Cook of Apple. Gosh, I wish I did not own any of that stock. Thankfully, I only have a few shares. The powerful are very much fewer in number than the commoners, and they fear the loss of that power so they want to take away our rights to oppose them with our speech. Guess what happens when that kind of dictatorship is enforced. Yes, it will be war and destruction all around. The Bush service yesterday was stark in the comparison of those years and the steep decline of today's America. What could possibly bring back the civility we used to have before big tech and social media giants began to manipulate our society?

I never liked the song, don’t really like anything “Broadway”, but it is a part of Americana, and thus doomed.
Flush American culture down the memory hole making the coming communist regime a little less undesirable is the aim.
