Once again, Coulter is right on the money.
Why not voluntary public contributions to a wall fund? Does all money have to be fiiltered through Congress? Couild it possibly raise enough $? Maybe not, but it could help continue the incremental woek in progress.

I know all the reasons (excuses) so don’t even go there. Obamacare was passed in a lame duck session. The GOP needs to get off its ass and support the President. There are 10,000 invaders at our border. If the case for a wall cannot be made TODAY by republicans it ain’t gonna happen.
Sadly, like some here, she imagines that Trump can do anything he wants to, sans Congress and sans the Judiciary.
I quit reading or watching Coulter years ago. Her analysis got terrible, and I never ever heard her admit it when she got it wrong. She’s way too arrogant for my tastes, and besides, she’s one ugly blond - giving all blonds a bad name.
Name one other 2016 GOP candidate who would have done as much as Trump has in 2 years.

It is curious how most of the fair-weather-Trumpers expect much more from him than they did from GHWB or GWB. Those fair-weather-Trumpers are looking for any excuse to run away in 2020 into the arms of a good-ole-GOP-establishment preference.
Trump’s problems have come more from the GOP than from the Dems. Maybe, he can proclaim like GWB did — ‘now I have a Congress I can work with’ when the GOP lost in 2006.

Those who post here ridiculing Coulter and her assertion that Trump could have already started building the wall under his authority as CinC of the armed forces are the real jagazzes. Coulter has a solid record as a constitutional law scholar who was the only pundit to correctly predict Dubyas Florida victory at the Supreme Court during the hanging Chad debacle and Trumps electoral victory. She’s been right on so many things that you’d be a fool to bet against her judgment. Of course she’s right to criticize Trumps failure to build the wall. Trumps inaction on this will not only cost him the election in 2020 but it will mean the end of the US as we know it. She completely gets it, even if the jagazzes here can’t see it or don’t want to hear it.

Really? Not me. I've kind of moved on since the election. Trump is the genuine deal but he has not been able to recruit people to his cause. What we have is Trump against the world and he can only do so much.
Having said that Trump may well indeed have a legacy in the form of Supreme Court appointments. We shall see.

She is just factually incorrect that Trump has not gotten money for the wall. He got $1.6 billion in FY17, and another $1.6 Billion in FY18.
It took about a year of lead time with planning and contracting to get started, but some segments have already been finished (Calexico, CA West of the Port of Entry, and 20 miles West from El Paso).
That area of Calexico previously led the Nation in attacks on Border Patrol Officers - but now it is quiet. The new thirty foot bollards there had an illegal climber fall shortly after they were installed - breaking both his femurs and severely injuring his spine. Ann Coulter could ask him if President Trump gotten any new barrier (if he’s still alive).
Construction is underway now in Downtown El Paso, and San Diego is getting two new layers of strong barrier from the Ocean to the Mountain. The first of those layers is a little over half done (8 out of 14 miles), but not one of the recent migrant mob was able to climb, breach or tunnel under the new stuff.
The new Trump barrier is being called “wall system”, because it includes several significant additions that make it more effective, in addition to the tall bollards which are strong enough to stop a speeding truck - lights, cameras, alarm systems and all weather patrol road.
Just this month, more contracts were awarded around Yuma Arizona, and two in the Rio Grande Valley of South Texas, where illegal traffic is heaviest (construction scheduled to start in February). Several more segments are expected to be awarded in the next couple of months as well in the Rio Grande Valley, as well as 11 more miles East of the Port of Entry in Calexico, CA - probably elsewhere as well.
Most of the money that President Trump has already received for the wall, has not yet been contracted, due to early planning delays, so a much higher volume is expected to be contracted in 2019 than was in 2018.
The Senate had budgeted another $1.6 Billion for next year, but the House approved a tripling to $5 Billion. All the arguement is between those numbers for next year.
