Sessions bowed to recusal pressure once and would probably do so again.

Well, if recusal was part of the Plan, then no, he didn’t bow under pressure. While I have not at all studied in depth the career of Jeff Sessions, it is my understanding that he is one of the most ethical persons to serve in government ever. That is the perspective I lean toward. I just have a hard time seeing him as being as feckless as he has been made out to be. But I’ve been wrong before.
I do not think that if he regained his seat, he would ever bow to that kind of pressure when it seems he had not done so before as a senator.
I was simply bringing to the thread an interesting possible scenario from Bongino I had not heard here yet: that there is some talk of him seeking his Senate seat once more in 2020.

I agree with you about Sessions. The best predictor of future behavior is past behavior.
I guess the way General Sessions could be both good and bad is if his Ethics, his Dharma code would not allow him to be ruthless against the enemy at a time when it was absolutely necessary. One of my favorite stories is the Mahabharata, the Story of India, and one of the characters is Vidor, always restrained to the point of ineffectuality by his Ethics.
Let’s remember Sessions recused himself because he had to.

He was on multiple committees in the Senate that approved Hillary’s Uranium One sellout of the country, as I understand it. I do believe, like most of Congress, he is compromised—and thus was effectively neutered in this AG role.
Wait, Texy. I said Sessions would run for the derp Alabama Senate seat WAY before Bongino did. Right after he resigned. Check the historical record.
Of course he'll run. And he'll win. And here's another tidbit for others. Senators do not "recuse".
Bongino is a child.
