In the end much of the election process relies on the integrity of the people counting the vote. Yes, and this is a huge problem.
It's been eye-opening to move to a different state and make new friends.
I'm used to my friends and extended family who are people of integrity. I have never had to question the honesty of any close friend, at least none who were friends for any extended amount of time. My friends and extended family members trust each other. Period. For decades.
Although I knew that people are not to be trusted in general, I've discovered that integrity and honesty are much less common than I had imagined.
I've ended three new potential friendships because those ladies proved themselves to be selfish and of questionable, or worse, integrity.
None of the three are people who stand out as being of questionable character - not at all. They are active in the community and one is a regular church-goer. I think that this is the new post-Christian USA normal and that my friends and family back home are the exception.
Bottom line, we've entered a time in or country that, in order to have civil order we must enforce it by laws because we can no longer expect the Christian law to be written on the hearts of most of our fellow countrymen. The days of leaving our doors unlocked are long gone.
Voter fraud is going to be the end of our republic if we don't get a handle on it partly by sentencing those who do it to very long prison terms because most of the vote-counters are going to do whatever they think benefits themselves unless they are scared of a substantial punishment.

Washington, D.C.—Human Rights First and the National Immigrant Justice Center filed a challenge seeking permanent relief from the Trump Administration’s asylum ban issued earlier this month. The plaintiffs in O.A. v. Trump are six asylum seekers, including three children, who were illegally barred from seeking asylum because they entered the United States outside of an official border point. The litigation filed yesterday follows a suit in the U.S. District Court of San Francisco, in which a temporary restraining order was issued Monday.
O.A. v. Trump challenges the regulations and presidential proclamation through which the Trump Administration issued its asylum ban. The plaintiffs, represented by Human Rights First, National Immigrant Justice Center, and Williams & Connolly LLP, argue that the administration’s asylum ban violates the Immigration and Nationality Act, in which Congress established that an asylum seeker has the right to have her claim evaluated regardless of how or where she entered the United States, as well as the Administrative Procedure Act and the Trafficking Victims Protection Reauthorization Act. The lawsuit also claims that Acting Attorney General Matthew Whitaker does not have authority to issue the regulation, as he has not been confirmed by the Senate.
