Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg, 85, fractured three ribs in a fall in her office Wednesday night, according to a statement from the Supreme Courts public information office.
Tests showed that she fractured three ribs on the left side, the statement said. She was taken to George Washington University Hospital.
Ginsburg has survived several fights with cancer and had heart surgery in 2014, according to CNBC. She has beaten pancreatic and colon cancer, the two deadliest forms of the disease.
People, especially younger people, were offering the octogenarian affectionately known as RBG their own ribs on social media Thursday morning. They even started the hashtag #RibsForRuth on Twitter.

I understand how and why you feel the way that you do. But I think that if we can’t bring ourselves to wish her well with regard to health, we can still refrain from wishing her physical illness and death.
There’s plenty to criticize wrt her rulings, without lowering ourselves to vicious antifa-like comments.
I've never wished death upon any of the despised leftists in this country, but neither will I pretend to wish them well when they're hurting or in peril.
She’s had a good run, anyway.
I can imagine situations when You might require the help of some of these despised people - and be glad to have it.
Say a little prayer tonight for Ginsburg to be free of pain and illness.
It’ll do you good, even if it doesn’t help her.
I pray that when her time comes, she realizes the error of her ways, and makes peace with her maker.
That's the best I can do.
Understood.
(I think we each decide the measure of our own souls, and have every right to do so.)
Reports are saying that she is up and "working".
This whole damned story smells like a tuna cannery. Reports are saying that she is ready to work.
Either somebody exaggerated her injuries or their exaggerating her recovery.
Here’s a report saying her cancer has come out of remission and that she is expected to retire in January. I don’t know how credible this is.
