I just thought it would be useful to hear from fellow Freepers on this election day:
1. Did you vote in 2016? 2. Did you vote today? (if not why?) 3. Any useful observations?
Normally go before I start work @ 7am, but today will go either during lunch or right after work about 4pm. I WILL vote.
Always vote in every election. I voted early a couple of weeks ago in Georgia.
Polls crowded in Hunterdon County NJ at 6:20am.....light rain, and lot was full. higher than normal over last 15 years.
Early voted last week.
Always, and two weeks ago ;-) yes.
Is your county blue or red?
West Virginia:
Voted early in 2016. No line.
Voted early in 2018. 10 minute line.
Me and Wife. Straight GOP. Plus a great guy for the local council.
Westerville, Ohio. Balderson’s district, (Tiberi and Kasich’s old district).
Polls opened at 630, I arrived at 640. 8 folks in line.
I stopped trying to figure out what a line vs. no line, etc. means. In all my voting experience, there doesn’t really seem to be a correlation between election results and how many folks appeared to be at the polls.
I did over hear one of the workers talking and she said they typically get 300 voters on a midterm and expected more this time. Had 25 in the first 15 mins, for whatever that’s worth.
1) Yup. 2) Yup. 3) Well, we will see tonight.
My state, Washington, is all ‘vote-by-mail’. Yes, most counties have a drop-box you can put your ballot in without actually mailing it. That’s what I did with mine, my wife’s and my son’s ballots.
I would MUCH rather go to a polling place and cast a vote there.
Not yet. I’m waiting for what the internet tells me to do.
I voted early.
All R candidates.
Yes, I voted in 2016. I also already voted straight ticket Republican today. Observations? I was first in line.
hahaha
Voted at 6:30 this morning and was #26. That is busy for my district in a midterm election. Since there really arent any close or critical races going on in my area it makes me wonder what it signifies?
Rarest wife and I just got done. Lines were relatively long for a midterm. Saw all stripes of folks: young and old, professional and working-class. Regardless of affiliation, it’s heartening to see Americans taking part in one of our most sacred freedoms.
Yes. Yes. Happy to report a lot of fellow senior citizens with many wearing caps or jackets indicating they have military service. Also happy to report steady rain and fog.
I live in a DARK RED county, thank God!
I have an eye appointment at 8:40. Afterwards, Household Six and I will be proudly driving to the local high school to case two straight Republican tickets!
The RATS have nothing to offer except hate for Trump and America.
