Keep on Tweeting!
It's not all finalized yet.
The latest official count I can find:
Republican - 51 seats
Democrat - 44 seats
Independent - 2 seats
Here are a few with issues as I understand them:
MISSISSIPPI - Runoff election to take place between Hyde-Smith(R) and Espy(D) on Nov 27, 2018.
ARIZONA - McSally(R) 49.4% Sinema(D) 48.4% Still counting provisional ballots, etc.
Lawsuits filed by republicans challenging unlawful method of verifying provisional ballots in some precincts.
FLORIDA - Scott(R) leads Nelson(D) by less than ½% with some (mostly democrat) precincts still counting.
Nelson conceded election night but has since 'un-conceded' (like Al Gore did).
If the final lead is less than ½% there will be a mandatory recount.
GEORGIA - Kemp(R) 50.3% Abrams(D) 48.7 Seems to be final but Abrams refuses to concede calling for a recount
If I had to choose between winning the house and Trump getting to appoint another Justice, the other Justice would win.
I’m glad to hear you found some pain relief! I think we need to be our own doctors, they really have limited empathy and limited understanding. But they are useful at times :-)
Many elderly people succumb to pneumonia in hospital when they fall and break things like she just did.
Grandmother was 96 when she broke her hip and died in hospital from pneumonia.
He was signaling he had my bail money, what ya gonna do?
Split decision. Hope for recovery, but hope she realizes she cannot fullfil her SC duties & retires.
You two are so funny! Just had to let you know I am enjoying your humor with my morning herbal tea.
There were two Ginsberg articles in the sidebar and now they are gone. I hope it wasn’t fake news.
Very strange that Trump is on his way to SCOTUS and she falls.
Best that she fell before he got there, but, they will still blame him.
Oh geez, I hadn’t thought of that. I’m glad he was nowhere near there.
85-year-old Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg has reportedly been hospitalized after fracturing three ribs in fall at court. https://t.co/UqpaRkmRJK— Cory Groshek (@CoryGroshek) November 8, 2018
Interesting that she didn’t feel a lot of pain right away. Maybe they are just hairline fractures. But she will still have to hold pretty still for a long time while they heal.
Just thinking about what you said Nickk, if I were to fall right now and I have pretty good bones, I’m not likely to break them with that small an impact. Unless I jump off my roof. But just falling from my Height to the floor isn’t that far. So you’re right, the conditions of the bone is the issue.
Humor?
We are dead serious, ain’t that right Pax?
Don’t think it’s fake, has been announced on the news.
Thanks for the info, very interesting.
I can see that in my grandma’s case her hip bone could have broken causing her fall.
Well, this is a sad discussion. Today is my mother’s birthday. She died a bit more than 6 years ago a few days after falling with a broken hip. We were very close and I still grieve. I do hope RBG recovers. I wish she’d retire, but I do very much wish her good health.
I pray she’s not in pain and I pray for her soul.
