Thanks for sharing your interesting story. Cabinet making ...great art. My nephew up-dated my kitchen 5 years ago and he refused to touch my old cabinets. He said I wouldn't be able to afford cabinets anywhere as sturdy as the ones I have now. So he called in a painter that sanded and painted my cabinets. My nephew also put a small trim on the bottom of the cabinets where many nicks were. After the painter finished my cabinets are beautiful! I'm so glad I listened to my nephew. My Fiesta dishes would have probably been much too heavy for most newer cabinets. Sorry..I've been going on...LOL

**BREAKING NEWS**Justice Ginsberg has taken a fall and been admitted to the hospital.

That was a great idea. Everything made nowadays is so cheap. Especially anything like furniture or cabinets, involving wood.

We remodeled our 1970s house and I hate to tell you how much I spent on the kitchen cabinets. They are certainly pretty, rustic Alder, but they are anything but Hardy. I’m trying to be super careful with them to make them last. I’m glad we don’t have any rambunctious children around here. Some of the hinges have already dislodged from the wood, and hubby had to glue them back in.

Things that everything is made disposable now, even stuff that cost a lot of money.

I’m in a quandary. I know it would be evil to hope for complications ... but ... I certainly can’t pray for her continued good health either.

Sorry about your pain. I do pretty much anything to help my pain. I sleep in a chair.(for over 30 years now) and now put my legs and feet up on the wall for several hours during the night. It has eliminated a lot of my pain during the day and my ankles are back to the small size they use to be.

I haven't caught up yet to read you-all's posting about RBG falling in court. I'll wait to read your information.

Here’s what happened to a friend of mine who was 92. And she was quite frail, much like Ginsberg. She was actually doing pretty good for her age, and then she fell and broke her hip. She had to stay immobilized and she was in some Nursing Facility. Just being immobilized at her age caused her a world of other problems, and she only lasted a couple months after that.

I am at imagine at her age with broken ribs, she might be immobilized as well?
