Once upon a time, as a college senior in autumn 1970, I organized a committee to block a politician from making a campaign appearance on campus and sought support from a not-unsympathetic faculty member: Students were the target de jour, I explained, the candidate was cynically using the university as a prop. My professor begged to differ: "This," meaning America in the '60s, "is all you know, but I can remember when things were different." What he saw as academic freedom, I thought absurdly naïve. ---SNIP--- The FBI reported more than 2,500 domestic bombings during an 18-month period between 1971 and 1972 and this terrorism far more destructive of property than life came to seem the new normal

Student radicals are perpetually short-sighted. They think they know everything. In truth, they know some of the stuff that happened in the past year or so. That’s it. No one should give any weight to what a young person says. Totally serious.

Oh. So now politically motivated violence is cool.
That was a quick turnaround.

I read that review. Doesn’t change my views of 60’s Radicals one iota. These people planting bombs should have been executed, not allowed to become Leftist icons and saints like Bill Ayers.
That is a scumbag who should have paid for his crimes back in the Sixties and Seventies. The fact that he draws breath is a travesty of justice, and the fact that he is a Leftist icon, fully accepted, and a known friend of a person who made it to the office of the Presidency, is incomprehensible.

Dialing down your IQ in order to accept the lie of theres no God, so I can make my own rules opens the door to all the violence and hypocrisy. Back then and now.

I should have made a better comment. This is a book review from 2015. The author of Days of Rage, Bryan Burrough, tries to glamorize radical behavior. My point in posting was to emphasize that it is the Left that embraces violence. Hillary was a Black Panther sympathizer. Obama was buddies with Ayers.
Despite what the MSM wants you to believe Trump didn't start the fire. He is trying the put out the fire the radical left started to burn down America.

They both should have been put to death. They were guilty as sin of murder and Ayers gleefully admitted it with his “Free as a bird” comment.

Agreed ...and beyond that is the seldom recognized irony that Ayers and Dohrn have enjoyed a comfortable upper class lifestyle doing what they were rebelling against; hauling down big bucks while secure in their gated community.

I was eating lunch Friday and a mom & 2 kids sat next BOOTH to mine. I asked what they were going to be for Halloween and they both said, in unison, “BLACK PANTHER.” ????????

“....scumbags who should have paid for their crimes back in the Sixties and Seventies.”
The heinous, if not traitorous, nature of their crimes is only outweighed by their subsequent 50-years of a “free as a bird” life. All in a well feathered nest to boot! Those that allowed such a travesty to occur are guilty of greater offense.
