In this instance, the National Guard was called out by the President (federal) so they are under President Trump's control. Usually, they are under the control of their states’ governor. I'm betting that while the left-hand press is watching something, the right-hand President is doing something else. Personally, I prefer the "Kick Manual Nortega Outta His House" loud-not-so-good-rock n' roll method.
