An emotional Megyn Kelly began her program Wednesday morning by reading a prepared apology for her comments the previous day defending blackface Halloween costumes.
Im Megyn Kelly. And I want to begin with two words Im sorry, the Megyn Kelly Today host said as she fought back tears. You may have heard that yesterday we had a discussion here about political correctness and Halloween costumes, and that conversation turned to whether it is ever okay for a person of one race to dress up as another a black person making their face lighter or a white person making theirs darker
I defended the idea.

America has become so Politically Correct costumes have become racist....can people even wear rubber presidents faces or other celebrities? Pocahontas, Famous Chieftains, Kings, Queens, and people of color anymore?...fun for everyone were the Minstrel Shows:
"Minstrels performed songs which told stories of distant places or of existing or imaginary historical events. Although minstrels created their own tales, often they would memorize and embellish the works of others. Frequently they were retained by royalty and high society." Everyone poked fun at everyone and NO ONE took offense...talented musicians, vocalists, mimics of every color and race
all having a good time. The Haters/losers and bullies have always been there, tearing at the happiness factor just like they are today.
You've nothing to be ashamed of Megyn, nothing at all.

That’s what she gets for going to an ultra left wing network - she has to grovel and kiss their feet.

America has become so Politically Correct costumes have become racist....can people even wear rubber presidents faces or other celebrities? Not Obama's. A rodeo clown tried that and was called a racist and fired.

Megyn Kelly has to apologize for saying it might be okay if someone wore it... Ted Danson and his then-paramour Whoopi don’t have to apologize for him ACTUALLY GOING TO AN EVENT in blackface. I know the country has a rough history of mixed race but this is pretty ridiculous.

The dingbat thought blackface was a good Halloween costume. NeverTrump karma curse came in a little late in this one, but came.

During the very first 2016 presidential debate, Kelly tried to hang the albatross of political correctness around Trump's neck.
How does it feel, Megyn?

Kelly said it was OK when she was growing up for white people to dress up as black characters, and she spoke out against a controversy that erupted last year over a reality star who portrayed Diana Ross. "But what is racist?" Kelly asked. "Because you do get in trouble if you are a white person who puts on blackface on Halloween, or a black person who puts on whiteface for Halloween. Back when I was a kid that was OK, as long as you were dressing up as, like, a character." That is what she said. She didn't say minstrel show blackface was OK. She said it in the context of a white person dressing up as a black character for Halloween. And now she is "tearfully" apologizing. This is insanity.
