Pres Trump shares East Room stage with Sergeant Major John L Canley, USMC (Ret.), recipient of today's Medal of Honor, for conspicuous valor under fire, coming to the aid of fellow Marines, in 1968 during the Vietnam War.

During the Tet Offensive in Vietnam, Sgt Major Canley "risked his own life to save the lives of those under his command," said Pres Trump, recounting Canley's bravery meriting the Medal of Honor.

"You don't look 80 years old to me," Pres tells Sgt Major Canley, commenting on the fitness of the retired Marine.

That sounds like Lasorda. He has been a great ambassador for the Dodgers & baseball for many years. I've never heard anyone say a bad word about him. He & Vin Scully are really great guys & did so much for the Dodgers & baseball by being just great people.

Speaking of dinner....years ago, when the Dodgers were in town to play the Astros, we’d see Tommy having lunch at a Catholic church we’d go to (near downtown) on Wednesdays....for the best meatballs and spaghetti. The line would wrap around the block, almost.
