Cruz mopped the floor with him. He is not ready to be a senator from a big state. He should move to a small liberal state. It was sad.
For future campaigns? No. He will spend it on “consultants” or lobbyists who will give him a high paying job after he losses.

There really IS such a thing as White Privilege. That’s what my sister named her white Mercedes SUV — “W.P.” is its nickname.
I think Beto was a family nickname and his friends called him Bob. Sometimes family names stick, sometimes no. Beto became very useful in Texas, however, since it sounds Hispanic.
My wife grew up in El Paso, Spanish parents. She got nickname at 4 by 6 year old sister. Still uses it. I think people embarrass themselves over nickname and ignore substance. Beto has 3x more money and has media and bad messages. Will he use that money effectively? Will Cruz get buried? I was busy teaching math tonight so catching up now. Was these a clear winner tonight? Cruz has high expectations because of his debate experience. Did it help him any better with Beto than it did against Trump?
In Texas maybe, but in CA 60k a month for mortgage won’t be enough for a 10 acre mansion, even on dry land.

It's more common, re siblings, for a baby/toddler sibling, who can't pronounce a name correctly, to give another child a mispronounced name that the family then picks up and carries on. Or when a tiny child has trouble pronouncing his or her own name and the family then uses it.
Beto was arrogant, spouted lefty crap ( he wouldn't have voted for Kavanaugh, is a gun grabber, wants SOCIALIZED HEALTH CARE, trashed President Trump etc. ), and looked lousy. Unless there is MASSIVE voter fraud, I really don't see him beating Ted.

We knew a (white) family, from El Paso, whose housekeeper nicknamed their fifth child Cinco.
