Meadows calls on Rosenstein to step down from DOJ amid questions over ‘wire’ comments
The chairman of the House Freedom Caucus is calling on Rod Rosenstein to step down as deputy attorney general, as lawmakers probe reports the Justice Department official once suggested wearing a "wire" to record President Trump.
Rep. Mark Meadows, R-N.C., made the comments as James A. Baker, the FBI’s former top lawyer, was questioned behind closed doors on Capitol Hill on Thursday about Rosenstein’s reported comments, as well as other decisions made by the bureau. Meadows criticized Rosenstein for not accepting a recent invitation to testify before the House Judiciary Committee about the reported comments.
"I think it's time that Rod Rosenstein steps down," Meadows told reporters. "He should do so immediately. And in doing that, I think it would serve the country well."

I believe we want the Saudis as trade partners and as a stabilizing force in the Mid-East. Every time they let a woman drive or take off her headscarf, we have to publicly applaud them just like we celebrate the kid's first poop on the potty!

As for this guy in Turkey, he knew the Saudis were out to get him. He even worked out a "now if I come over there, you guys promise not to catch me and hurt me? You promise? And, finally (wow, I gotta stop using my professional writing!) all this stuff we heard yesterday about him being killed right away, audio recordings and dismemberment...uh..I read that last week! Of course I can't remember where I read it, maybe I heard it, but the final coup de grace of the piece is this: they won't find his body on the embassy grounds. The reason for the bone saw was so they could fit him in their diplomatic pouches and take him home, to Saudi Arabia. Whew!!!
