Don’t die on the Walmart hill. It’s not worth it.
You’re going to find that a LOT of FReepers and FReeQs shop at Walmart. That’s not enough to make someone a leftist.
I also buy from Amazon. Sometimes it’s the only place that carries what I want/need. I don’t like to do it, but there aren’t always other options.
If I looked at every single place that I spend money, I’m sure many of those places would be DS connected. If we took them all down overnight, we’d be in a world of hurt. In fact, IMO, that is why Trump/Q are forcing resignations at the top levels of so many corporations. They know that it’s not the corporation itself that is the problem, but the top people who run it. They know that millions of decent Americans depend on those corporations for jobs and consumer goods, and that millions of decent Americans have IRAs, 401(k)s, and pension funds invested in those corporations.
The goal is not to destroy capitalism; the goal is to take down the DS players who are perverting capitalism.
Dude...chillax!
See my 101.

Well said.
Walmart may become Ground Zero in the politics of trade when China tariffs start to bite.
No doubt many Trump supporters (and many others) will start to see price increases.
“Free traders” (i.e., brainwashed or bought-and-paid-for Republicans) will scream: “I told you so.”
I am sure there are still many Americans who think old Sam’s philosophy of “Buy American” is still in force; but alas, WALMART is now a major distribution arm of Communist China.
I think it will be interesting to see if WALMART adapts and survives the new MAGA reality, or goes the way of so many other giant retailers.
Having said all that ... I do not blame WALMART for maximizing their profits. That is the #1 task of every business in a capitalist society.
Good advice, Clete!
Just accept that you PO'd a lot of FReeQs and other folks when you one-brushed Wal*Mart customers.
As for me, I did a "recon trip" from MA back to God's Country -- to see if retiring on my part of "the Old Home Place" in the PineyWoods boondocks was practicable. I checked out the "Wal*Mart SuperCenter" and Mexican Restaurant in the nearest small town (12 Mi) -- and decided we could, at least "survive" here -- with occasional "up-scale" runs to the nearest Texas city (36 miles) or the nearest LA one (50 miles)...
It's amazing how well we get along using Wal*Mart -- by synching our "city runs" with medical or meeting trips...

Apologize if you feel like it; if not, accept that you picked up quite a few points on the "a-hole list" with your comment... Your choice, FRiend... '-)
