Monica Lewinsky announced this week that she is launching a new anti-bullying campaign by changing her Twitter name to the long list of names she has been called over the decades.

Lewinsky unveiled #DefyTheName with a new PSA as part of National Bullying Prevention Month, People magazine reported Friday.

The campaign calls for people to change their user names on social media for the month of October to the names with which they’ve been bullied.

All past squabbles between us aside, and quite literally, I think this indicates that there are certain things about men which you simply DON'T understand.

A man meets a girl, falls for her, and wants to have her all to himself forever and ever. Men who care about a woman, would rather not that she "has a past."

In the case she happens to, a man doesn't want to compete with the prospect of, the memory of, or the ghosts, of past lovers.

There's a reason men divide women they meet into "suitable to take home to Mom" / "would NEVER take home to Mom" categories.

Therefore, no man in his right mind is EVER going to wife up a woman whose claim to fame was sucking the President's dick.

I notice a lot of foul comments here about Lewinsky. I’m no great fan of hers but I don’t like disgusting remarks about an obviously none-too-bright woman. Particularly on a site that claims so many Christians. No wonder she talks about bullying.

As far as your comment that there are women that men won’t bring home to mom, if that were true, we wouldn’t have all those posts you are on talking about the horrible, trashy, evil ex-wives. Maybe guys just don’t bring their wives home to mom anymore...

It has been Monica herself who keeps reminding us of her past behavior. Worse moral crimes from others have been forgotten over the course of time. I’m starting to believe Monica hangs onto this public image because in her mind, she had ‘achieved fame’, international fame by being Bill Clinton’s Other Woman. That fame has made her some kind of Celebrity.
Like many has-beens or never-was, she clings to anything that keeps people talking about her. Sad, as Mr. Trump would say.

If the TV show Hollywood Squares was still on the air, I would expect Monica to be in one of those lower squares, the squares that almost never got called on to answer questions, because the Celebrity didn’t know very much.

They believed that any gifts, correspondence, telephone calls and the 37 post-employment White House visits that may have passed between Lewinsky and the president are evidence only of a platonic relationship.

They believed that such innocent intimate friendships are quite common between middle-aged married men and young single women, and also between presidents of the United States and White House interns.

They saw nothing suspicious in the report that the president’s intimate pal, Vernon Jordan, arranged a $40,000-per-year job for Lewinsky shortly after she signed, but before she filed, an affidavit saying she had not had sex with the president.

Nor did they read anything significant into the fact that the ambassador to the United Nations, Bill Richardson, visited Lewinsky at the Watergate to offer her a job.

They believed the instructions Lewinsky gave Linda Tripp informing her on how to properly perjure herself in the Willey matter "simply wrote themselves."

They believed, as does Hillary, that The Washington Post, the Los Angeles Times, The New York Times, Newsweek, Time, U.S. News & World Report, ABC, CBS, NBC, CNN, PBS and NPR are all part of a vast right-wing conspiracy to malign the saintly Clintons. (hat tip Michael Kelly)

I’d have fought you tooth & nail, but for your last sentence. That *is* in fact, part of the problem.

I have read that most secular folks have sex by the third meeting (I *DIDN’T* say ‘date’); and *then* decide if they are compatible for a relationship. This is a recipe for disaster.

As far as the posts-go, it *is* partly dependent on the behaviour of said ex-wives. Christine Ford is a demonstration that some women simply *lie*. To admit that such a thing is even possible represents enormous progress.

Her mom’s claim to fame was “bedding” a tenor learning about three tenors private lives and writing a book about it. Then there was the theft of letterhead from Lewis and Clark College...little criminal...she should never have been in the White House with just a minor background check.
