Hi All! Oh what a glorious day!!!
Posting blind, but I thought it would be appropriate to add to whatever the current conversation is at this time.
I’ve been watching the commentary by Darryl Issa with Judge Jeanine following her interview with POTUS on the phone. He said something that I thought was quite interesting. I backed it up a few times and believe I was able to put together a fair transcript of that tiny fascinating section:
10/6/18 - Judge Jeanine following Kavanaughs confirmation and the Trump rally in Topeka KS.
She had DARRYL ISSA on. He made a very curious statement:
She was asking Issa to speak about the emotional roller coaster K has been on. It has to be bitter sweet for him tonight.
Issa said, If he ever has to stand in judgement over elected officials, at least hell know how WE* feel. He will be the only person on the court who has ever faced that. Clarence Thomas to a lesser extent, but never anything close to this, and thats what is really amazing about his confirmation with obviously Joe Manchin a Democrat voting for him, He got through exactly the way someone would expect which is the Democrats never wanted A nother person on the court, and we could have put the late Mother Theresa there and they would have rejected her .
WAIT - WHAT???!!!!
“IF HE EVER HAS TO STAND IN JUDGEMENT OVER ELECTED OFFICIALS, AT LEAST HELL KNOW HOW WE FEEL.”
“ELECTED OFFICIALS????”
“WE?”
Is he hinting at something? Or is he like a John Kasich letting the proverbial Cat out of the Bag?
I sat up even straighter when I heard and was reminded by a question set up by Judge J:
“...I mean you are gonna be leaving. And we are gonna miss you in Congress and we’ll miss having you on Justice...”
This SPECULATION is more than likely very innocent and not relevant at all, but in view of the Military Courts drops and the discussions by Justice K and Sen. Graham about the applicable laws, I had to wonder if there is a Q-Magnitude level to it.
If it is so, could Issa be one who is aware that there are indeed military tribunals in the offing? If he does know of these, is he aware of some of his friends who will be facing them? Is it possible that he himself could be affected by such judgements? Do we know why he left or is leaving Congress? He said “WE.” Is that just deep empathy for those who would be facing such a tribunal, or could it be a personal fear?
I apologize for not being able to find a a link to the show. I’m writing this as the show is still on.
*I backed up the video several times to verify that he did indeed say “we” and not “they” as I had thought at first that I heard. In fact, on the hearing captions, the transcript which FOX posted showed “we.”
Very interesting, Texokie! Good catch. In fantasy land, 1/2 the Dems get arrested for any number of crimes and not only do they have to wear orange, we get to see perp walks!
I think Pelosi and DiFiChiSpy will look splendid in jailhouse crocs, don’t you?
I see what you mean. I heard it, and I took it to mean that he will know the sort of crap the Congress Critters have had to put up with from people wearing weird pink hats etc.
Can’t even sit in a Restaurant. Anyone running for office these days has innuendo and lies thrown at them and hateful BLM or Antifa thugs showing up now and then.
I think Issa sort of left a hanging idea: “If he ever has to stand in judgement over elected officials, at least hell know how WE* feel.” He should have added: “about him.” As in the Republicans going to bat for Justice Kavanaugh and the Dems were awful to him and when it comes time to make decisions.
Yes, the speculation is a stretch.
Is he hinting at something? Or is he like a John Kasich letting the proverbial Cat out of the Bag?

I so appreciate your investigative skills. When I watch those things I never catch the kind of detail you do. THankQ!
Wow. Wow. Wow.
Good catch. So glad you posted. I think you’re right.
Bears repeating:
“,,,Issa said, If he ever has to stand in judgement over elected officials, at least hell know how WE* feel. ...”
Very interesting, in light of the question posed to him during the confirmation hearings, regarding the laws of unarmed combat (LOAC).
Thanks TEXOKIE. Fascinating.
The Swamp knows what is coming. Kasich let the cat out of the bag with his "Since John McCain was put to death...." slip on CNN.
The Swamp fought against Judge K for many reasons, including abortion.
But they also sought to attempt to stop a majority on the Supreme Court that would rule that military tribunals for Treason were Constitutional.
Saw this at Conservative Treehouse. Lol.
Saw your comment, and thought I would add my own.
I don't believe that Issa is dirty. He has consistently fought for our side for years and years, even during dark days in Washington. He has also fought for Trump, his agenda, and Conservative principles.
Issa didn't want to run for a 10th term in Congress for many reasons.
- He is the richest man in Congress and doesn't need the aggravation
- He had to suspend all of his town halls (that he has been holding for years) last year, because he was being swamped by Soros paid thugs and screaming Communists. It ticked him off, and he was nearly assaulted.
- He is 64 years old and really does love his family and wants to spend more time with them
- He only won in 2016 by 0.5%, because of liberals and illegals in his district
- He voted against the Tax Bill in December, because the capping of deductions (including SALT) is going to sock it to middle class and upper middle class families and their taxes are going up, not down. I know that isn't a popular point with many Freepers around here, but it's the truth. Conservatives in high tax states (Connecticut, New York, New Jersey, California) got a knife to the neck with that Tax Bill. Issa knew this, said so, and voted NO on the tax bill.
ELECTED OFFICIALS???? Is he hinting at something?
From the Judicial Committee of 9/13/18:
Subcommittee Chairman Issa: The American judicial system is the bedrock of our democracy. We must ensure that it continues to be the envy of the world in its integrity and fair administration of justice. The reforms included in the Judiciary ROOM Act being marked-up today represent important reforms to court operations. In addition to adding new judges, these measures will bring more transparency to courts and make court documents more accessible.

And:
Subcommittee Chairman Issa: Currently, the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals is the largest of the 13 federal appellate courts and, on average, hears about a quarter of the nations cases brought before the appellate courts in a given year. For years, many have called for this court to be divided, but there remains widespread disagreement on how those divisions should be made. The CIRCUIT Act is a step toward making this needed change. By dividing the Ninth Circuit into regional divisions that effectively function as individual appellate courts, we open the door to determining whether a circuit split would be feasible while, at the same time, preserve the current Ninth Circuit as a single appellate court.

There’s not going to be military tribunals of crooked Democrats. What teen fantasy adventure book did that come out of?
