Who Is Dr. Sydney Allison Randall?
I haven't seen the name of Christine Blasey Ford's marriage counselor posted anywhere. Could it be Sydney Allison Randall (nee Hunter)?
Dr. Hunter is a marriage counsel who graduated from Purdue University in 1965 ( Psychology Today ). Through some feature in Google maps, her name popped up when I clicked on the house at 3872 Duncan Pl, Palo Alto, CA 94306. Guess who lives there? So, I did some digging and found that Dr. Hunter is a licensed marriage and family therapist in California and in Oregon. The addresses shown are not at 3872 Duncan Place.
But I also found a National Provider Identifier (NPI) number for her showing her living at 3872 Duncan Place, the home of you know who. That record was updated in July 2007.
How long did Dr. Randall live there with you know who? According to Zillow, her currently listed home address last sold in 1998. It was listed for rent in March 2017 and the listing was removed that May.

So did he just pick a house at random in Palo Alto? This is so poorly written as to be nearly incomprehensible.
After reading the replies, it appears to me that 1) Blasey-Ford either previously owned or currently owns the house in question and 2) Google shows some marriage counselor lists it as her place of business.
Did I get that right?
I just found that the house in question is five blocks from the first house I bought. Maybe I’m involved, too.
CBF could not be Dr. Sylvia.
She is not a licensed clinical psychologist. She has a PhD in Educational Psychology and works in academia.
If you search christine blasey palo alto you get 3872 duncan place.
Search that address in Google maps an it confirms the house by th photo that it is the remodeled house previously discussed.
Google maps lists SYLVIA A Randall as living there.

Not much connection there, but it was interesting to be a 15-minute internet detective.

The grantor and grantees are the same persons. There is a change from "FORD, CHRISTINE" to only "BLASEY, CHRISTINE M" plus her husband. Goto Document Search and use 20931669 for the document number.
Santa Clara County requires you to purchase deed documents from Lexis-Nexis. Not going there. But the public record shows deed activity in her husbands name going back to 2010. But Zillow shows a huge jump in taxes from 2007 to 2008, looking like the property came out from under Prop 13 in a sale.
I haven't put Drs. Ford and Randall (Hunter) in the same house yet, but the records I've posted are pointing to that.
I looked into this a few days ago.
Randall (a/k/a Sylvia Dorothy Adkins, Sylvia Najjar) either previously owned the house and sold it to Ford, or rented a room of the house from Ford (or possibly a prior owner) to conduct her “couples counseling” a/k/a Couples Resource Center.
She has since moved to West Linn, Oregon and is an artist. She also continues to offer couples counseling and other therapy. Her website has comments from 2013. The website also says she moved to the Oregon 6 years earlier, but a starting point of reference is lacking.
So, she may have sold the house to Ford in 2007. Or moved when Ford purchased the house and didn’t want her to continue her practice from the residence.
Randall either lives with or is married to Stephen Najjar. He is apparently into classic boats. He had one in some directory in the Bay Area I found. He is now active in a wooden boat organization in Oregon.
There is a 2007 conveyance of the property, as well as a 2010 conveyance. It is possible that the 2010 conveyance was for no consideration and a transfer from spouse to spouse (separate property).
The house was listed for $1.2MM in 2007 – I suspect this was the year of the Ford purchase:
We need a title commitment to see the history of recorded deeds/conveyances.
The relevant question is the name of Ford’s therapist. If the therapist was Sylvia, then there are question marks.
