Good morning DEPLORABLES!!!

My hubby saw bear scat just outside our fence last night, and our neighbor saw one wandering around, plus a mountain lion dragging a raccoon around. But... the good news... It’s RAINING!! Woo-Hoo!!! I had to get up at 4:30 this morning to do the happy dance. First rain since last spring, and when you live in wildfire country, rain is your frend!

Iran’s Revolutionary Guards say they have fired missiles at eastern Syria targeting the ringleaders of the deadly attack on a military parade in Ahvaz.

A statement said “many terrorists” were killed or injured in the strikes.

IS and ethnic Arab separatists from Ahvaz both claimed the 22 September parade attack, in which 25 people died.

The Iranian government has alleged that the assailants were jihadist separatists supported by Gulf Arab allies of the United States.

That’s probably why the Dems are panicking. And trying to pull out anything they can to try to swing the election.

They are being so incredibly despicable, that I can’t wait for Kavanaugh to be confirmed and to keep the House and Senate - just to see the Panic on their faces! They really couldn’t go any lower with their actions.

I’m not sure about our soil. It has a pretty high clay content. And we’ve only been gardening for about 2 years, so we haven’t worked in as many amendments as would be nice. But still, I can’t believe the way things grow here! I thought I had a brown Thumb in California. Here, everything grows even the things that I roughly transplant. Unfortunately the weeds do extremely well also. And the bugs. And the bunnies and the deer. Although I don’t mind the ladder so much, at least they are cute. And they pay attention to my hanging soap. It really does seem to work to keep those Critters away.

Guests have gone home and the house is quiet. My aunt was crying when she came downstairs yesterday morning because, she said, it was too early to leave. I agreed. I love and miss them very much and I think I need to have a good cry. :-)

Jeeves will be back this weekend. I’ve missed the little stinker but his mom has been very glad to have him around this summer.

I have an errand to run in the city but plan to be here for the rally tonight. Can’t wait to watch the rally with my dear Deplorables. I’ve missed y’all!

Hey Pax!!!

What’s happening?

I’m going to be spending most of the next 2 days moving cloths, oh joy, out with the summer, in with the winter.

Do love the change in seasons though so I’ll try not to be too grumbly in my complaints of having to work.

Will check in from time to time on my many breaks, that’s why it takes me 2 days to accomplish what used to take me a few hours, getting too dang old here.

I had one smash bird feeder against the window like it was a pinata, and then proceeded to eat the entire contents. I hear it is a high-calorie snack for them, so probably the same with your sunflower seeds!

300 pounds is a big one! I imagine he will be back since they are creatures of habit. I tried all sorts of things, and the old wives tale about ammonia doesn’t work at all! I had a bear step in cups of it Knocking them over on his way up our deck. Didn’t phase him a bit.

One amazing thing, we had one tear open a snowmobile seat because there was an empty package of potato chips stored underneath it. The next winter, something came back and did the exact same thing although the potato chip bag was gone. Remarkable memories and sense of smell!

So I hope you have better luck keeping him away!
