Thank you for the detailed and informative reply, I read it carefully.
To my simple mind, it seems as though those planning, assisting and acting to overthrow, by various means, the legitimate government of the US and its constitution, would be most akin to spies or undercover combatants (ie not in uniform, since there isn’t one...) in the Civil War. Then when you add being aided or funded by, or working with, foreign countries - even if said countries are not officially at war with the US - it’s even more likely into military tribunal territory.
Some of the foreign connections (think No Name in Syria with jihadis) do involve jihadists so that would definitely be mil. tribunal territory. And then some, or at least one, are not US citizens at all, such as 0bola.
Seems to my simple mind, that we are in more or less uncharted waters - there is law, there is precedent, but the situation today is not like any other in our nation’s history.
Brain-washed... [sucking up resources...] and so is Russia; so is China; so is EU. It is called The World. His solution: surrender to the rest. What does he think will happen to him?
I can predict that he is a climate change supporter: redistribute our wealth to 3rd world dictators in order to save the polar bears, etc. Logic?
Where do you start with such folk? Everyone else is good except us. He is welcome to ex-patriot himself if he wants someplace better.
Look, it is a global economy. The old saying is that when the U.S. sneezes the rest of the world gets a cold. Now that Trump is rebuilding our economy and equalizing trade, prosperity will spread to those who wish to participate. Can one say that about China? About Russia? . . . It is not a perfect world, but where is the proof that we are raping the rest of the world? e.g.: we buy Saudi oil and they are trillionaires... they can break that relationship if they wish... don't hold your breath.

Maybe it’s just my childhood speaking but Art Fleming was a much more gracious host on Jeopardy to my thinking. It floored me when someone posted a list a few months back of the 10 most trusted people in America and Alex Trebeck was on it. Alex is smug and elitist IMHO.

Humm, I didn’t mean to start a fire with my post. It’s not meant to be accusing or mean to anyone. Just this last week I was reading a medical paper and it stated that women ( of which I am one, have been all my of life) have the DNA of any man she has had intimate relations stored in her brain and eyeballs. I thought it interesting and since the statement said people leave a little of themselves with us, it reminded me of the medical article. I have been completely misunderstood and am a little offended myself.
I have been on FR since 1998 and a monthly supporter of Jim’s. In case I need to get everyone’s approval to be on this site, let me tell you a little about myself: I am an 80 year old female, Christian since I was 20 years old, a member of a Bible Church, have a weekly Precepts Bible Study, married to one man for 60 years as of August, 2018; voted Republican ever since Nixon ran (although I was impressed with JFK), have a degree from University of Houston, I am a professional fine artist and was in 10 galleries from Naples, FL to Carmel, CA. I no longer paint because I have arthritis in my hands. Let’s see, is there anything else you need to know so you can approve my being on this site? By the way, my husband is a 6’6” health nut and would be happy to visit with you any time. He’s very protective.

Their thinking isn’t founded on ignorance nor a lack of reality. It’s based upon an evil, elitist monarchical idea that certain bloodlines are rightful heirs by guil or conquest to the reigns of humanity and that subsequent to culling 90% of the global population they would have a “reset” on a new age of exploration, conquest and depravity to wallow in.
There are radically wealthy people within and without this group that actually set up trusts with the notion that they will be able to utilize the trust assets in their next incarnation. It matters not whether we believe the same, or whether it’s reality. They have the wealth and power to exercise their will as if it is true and that that makes them a horrific blight and enemy.
