I’m having a hard time with ALL of what’s going on. But then I remind myself of the great progress that’s already been made.
I’m agnostic on a lot of things, but what I find encouraging is the thought that whatever happens, there is going to be some action soon. Waiting for the K confirmation is like slowly removing a bandaid from a raw wound. I just want it over with for better or worse. I suspect that a lot of the stalling is strategic. I’m just not sure if it’s the white hats or the black hats behind it. I strongly suspect that it’s the white hats manipulating the black hats into stalling!
At any rate, I try to step back and ignore some of the minutiae and day to day maneuvering. Otherwise I’m constantly hyped up waiting for things to happen “any second now” and I’m repeatedly disappointed.
I think we’re going to see a solid SC nominee filling the spot, whether it’s K or someone else. (But I’d rather have it sooner instead of later.... sigh.)
The election is just around the corner. I’m predicting a red wave if POTUS can maintain momentum. The Ds and the DS are in panic and disarray. The constant talk of a “blue wave” is wishful thinking and whistling in the dark.
After K (or whoever) is on the bench and after the election, I expect the pace to pick up. But I also expect the DS tactics to escalate. Victory will not come without a cost. My biggest trust issue is trusting POTUS/Q to minimize the cost. So far they’ve done a great job of protecting Joe and Josephine Sixpack and their kids. I pray it continues.

I suspect that once her parents (along with us) found out what little Chrissy was up to in high school, they've decided to shun her. It's the grown-up version of grounding her to her room. They are on a time-out from her.

Well, first of all, I was faithfully married at the time, so there’s that.
Women’s rights were a very big deal in the late 70s and 89s. Even tho these bimbettes graduated about 10 years after me, I have a good clue as to the attitude of the times. You see, I had little sisters.
I’m sure there was some rapey behavior in their school. But, if one guy was rapey, the word got passed. Girls were very strident about their rights and freedoms, and duh-duh-dhm! revenge!
And what was the big thing about high school? What activity was sought out, both by the girls AND the boys? DRINKING! and smoking pot.
I graduated in a class of 19. My sisters each had about 75 in their graduating class. Believe me, both in my school and theirs, the girls knew which boys were likely to get a little handsy. Those boys were avoided, told on, or tripped into a bonfire, or maybe dumped off the dock at the marina. Oh, and older brothers and dads got involved, and if it ws bad enough, the cops were called. Even in my small town and my sisters’ private school. See what I mean about revenge?
So, what I’m saying is that I can find no relation to the truth with these bimbettes stories. In schools that seemed inbred, Edsel Ford can’t find anyone to back her story up? Uh huh. And that other Wysucki, well, that’s just “let’s throw it up against the wall and see what sticks” BS.

I’m with you. I’m fairly confident that “The Art of War” does not advise leaving one of your best warriors (Kavanaugh) laying on the ground to slowly bleed out.
It makes you start to wonder what they're going to come up with to try to sabotage a female nominee. Are they going to accuse her of sexual abuse and rape, too? I highly doubt that, of course, but what are they going to try to smear her with?
Since RBG isn't long for SCOTUS, I hope Trump has something up his sleeve to try to protect her (I say "her" because that's what's been implied).

I miss Ziva and Tony. I stopped watching about that time. (Well, having no electricity, thus no TV for 2 years kinda screws with one’s viewing schedule)
