Her bigger legal exposure here is for defamation claims from the others she has named in her letter -- especially the "other boy in the room" who she identified as an accomplice to Kavanaugh in the alleged attack.

No, but it will be difficult. He's a public person, so the standards are higher than for non-public persons. But this case pretty clearly crosses the line. A better claim will be intentional infliction of emotional distress -- she did this to cause him and his family as much pain as she possibly could.
Her four named witnesses...who by implication then were party to her decades of silence and party to the assault (an assault she says was like rape and made her fear for her life) - in other words THEY took part in and failed to report a violent crime (multiple felonies)...have a tremendous reason to sue her and even file charges against her. She accused at least one of them of actually taking part in this assault. ALL of them had lawyers submit amazingly terse letters blowing her out of the water. I would not be surprised at all if at least one, probably two, bring suits, or even charges, against her.
