IMHO we have been used to an Attorney General who bragged about all the things he was doing, made things look good or satisfied the dim base, while doing very nefarious things in the shadow.
I don’t know if there is role playing being done or Pres. Trump is this angry and disgusted with Sessions.
From our standpoint, Sessions appears to be doing much of nothing but that is the way they would want it, don’t give the GUILTY wiggle room to get away till the trap is sprung.

Second thing I noticed is the last line where it says GOP voters interested in preserving Senate supermajority. Also that means they are energized to keep the House. Here’s the ‘red wave’ energy developing and manifesting!

I get your point - that's why I put "bragging" in quotes. Maybe he could at least highlight or reinforce without the fanfare, some of his accomplishments so we know he is actually doing something. Not ongoing investigations, but the results.

Trump’s already seen media complicity so he knows if he comes out with the information media will run him out of office for being a conspiracy nut (see wiretap tweet).
So he moves every thing to NJ, only confides in his closest allies and develops a plan to let them hang themselves over time.
I can see it if Sessions is a white hat the President berates to keep the left off him. Again, maybe not, time will tell.
