Washington—Senator Dianne Feinstein (D-Calif.) released the following statement:
“It has always been Mrs. Ford’s decision whether to come forward publicly. For any woman, sharing an experience involving sexual assault—particularly when it involves a politically connected man with influence, authority and power—is extraordinarily difficult.
“From the outset, I have believed these allegations were extremely serious and bear heavily on Judge Kavanaugh’s character. However, as we have seen over the past few days, they also come at a price for the victim. I hope the attacks and shaming of her will stop and this will be treated with the seriousness it deserves.
“I support Mrs. Ford’s decision to share her story, and now that she has, it is in the hands of the FBI to conduct an investigation. This should happen before the Senate moves forward on this nominee.”

Better question; If these allegations are TRUE, then why wasn’t this discovered during numerous background investigations by FBI, etc., over the past decades? Are FBI investigators inept, Diane?

Yes; there is. And it was supposed to have been released to the public about a year ago. It never was. Why the hell not? I think tomorrow would be the ideal time to release it and air their dirty laundry.
Several tweeting people (I don’t tweet) should get the ball rolling on that. Bombard the social airwaves with something like #ReleaseTheList and demand that we know all legislators’ names on the list, their offense(s), and the amount of money WE THE PEOPLE are paying to cover up THEIR indiscretions.

I think thr political divide here is far greater than 1860. Far too many differences.
That’s the thing. Kavanaugh was the last choice for many of us, but was largely palatable because of his record on guns. He was among the more moderate names on the list.
We are at war with these people. They are not opponents, they are enemies.

DiFi needs to be investigated by the Senate Ethics Committee, with a full blown colonoscopy, as to why her net worth is over $77M, why she had a Chinese spy as a chauffeur for 20 years, and why she sat on Ms. Ford’s letter since June or July, passing up the trifecta of opportunities to ask about it in her office during a one on one interview, in closed hearing session, and in an open hearing session.
