NEWS: Sen. Jeff Flake (R-Ariz.) tells me in an intv he that doesn’t think the Judiciary Cmte should move ahead with its Thursday vote on Kavanaugh until they hear more from Christine Blasey Ford. “For me, we can’t vote until we hear more.”

I’m disgusted. The only bipartisanship occurs when Democrats are in power, nominate a liberal, and Republicans cooperate. I don’t see bipartisanship happening when the situation is reversed.

Do not ignore Chairman Grassley’s influence. He’s built up a great deal of good will, but no one wants to be his enemy. There are options, such a reporting it to the floor without recommendation, where McConnell could hold a two hour hearing before the scheduled vote.
