“some of the kids taped the Cosmo page with Burt in his underwear”
I had that issue. (It’s been a while; I could be wrong.) But IIRC, he didn’t have underwear — just hands in a strategic location. The guys in my office bought it for me. LOL!

“rumors about he dating Dinah Shore”
I remember that, too. I think they were more than rumors.

I took the universal studios tour here in So Cal when I was young, maybe around 1967 to 1970. The riverboat set was still standing and the tour guide told us about Darren McGavin getting pissed off at a young costar and told him Youll never work in this town again! The younger guy was Bury Reynolds. If you look at the trivia section for that show on IMDB I believe it mentions the animosity.

Most recent thing I recall seeing him in was a really bad movie called Mystery, Alaska. He played a judge who coached the local hockey team. He was sporting a full grey beard at the time, and looked very distinguished.

Gonna have to spend the weekend binge watching Burt Reynolds movies.
I really loved that guy.

IIRC, the Cannonball Run end credits were the first to use out-takes like that. Too good to waste, I guess.

RIP, Burt.
I know that the critics usually disliked Burt Reynolds' movies but I always liked them. Probably, because I never expected more from his movies than to be entertained. Something about his cockiness and swagger that was endearing. Burt Reynolds and Sally Fields were so good together - had that magical spark between the two of them.

I loved him on Jeopardy playing against Sean Connery. "Turd Ferguson"?
Lol! I don't recall that.
