Burt Reynolds Dead at 82

Burt Reynolds died of a heart attack Thursday morning at a hospital in Florida, according to multiple reports.

Reynold was 82.

Burt was transported a Florida hospital after going into cardiac arrest. His family was by his side when he passed.

Burt was a star in the moves and on TV -- appearing in classics like "Smokey and the Bandit," "Boogie Knights" and "Cannonball Run."

BTW, Smokey and the Bandit was the most American movie ever made. I saw it in Mexico with my Mexican then-girlfriend. I loved it and she didn’t get it at all.

That's because it was all about what appears to be the uniquely American trait of telling our government to stuff it. It was all about blatantly violating the 55 MPH speed limit. A law that induced such an avalanche of civil disobedience they were ultimately forced to repeal it.

You just don't see stuff like that happen in Mexico or anyplace else.
