James Jimmy McCain is the other son of John and Cindy McCain. As a teenager, he enlisted in the U.S. Marines. He went on to serve in Iraq and later went to Afghanistan.

Sargeant James Jimmy McCain Shown in top photo at the link, served in the USMC Infantry in my sons unit. Only heard good about him.
Looks to be a US ARMY uniform????
?????
Another political dynasty. That Senate seat belongs to the McKeatings.
Don’t know. Don’t care.
Does it surprise you that he was in the Army?
Maybe he wanted to go against the flow a little and pick his own branch of service. I’m sure there was a lot of pressure to go Navy, as the last 3 generations had done.
Moe, Larry, Curly & Shemp?
As noted, he did serve in the UCMC.
My guess is that he is now in a US Army reserve unit?
The photos show four Overseas bars (right) and other photos also show four Service stripes (3 yr Army, 4 yr USMC).
Curious.
He is now in the Army Reserve.
He has the 1st Marine Division patch under his name tag.
Isn’t McStain dead and buried now? Do we really have to keep bring up the memory of someone who would have done more good if he never lived? There’s no question he was one of Satan’s minions.
The world is a better place without him in it. Piss on his grave and forget the asshat please.
Good info - Thanks!
Here is ‘going against the flow’ for military service from my own family:
My father served in the US Army Air Force in WWII; his cousin enlisted in the Navy in 1939 and made it his career for 24 years.
I enlisted in the Army and made it my career; my cousin (son of the career sailor mentioned) enlisted in the Marine Corps and served for 10+ years.
Thus we covered all 4 services (no one in my family has been in the Coast Guard)
To the credit of all none have pursued any sort of political or ‘public service’ career.
I agree. They should be commended for serving their country.
Something didn’t quite look right in the funeral pictures of the “Marine” and I couldn’t square an Army uniform with him being in the USMC. Wonder what we’re missing...did he get discharged and then join the US Army? Not unheard of.
“”Does it surprise you that he was in the Army?””
Everything written about him says he was in the USMC...So why the Army uniform at the funeral services?
“”Isnt McStain dead and buried now?””
Oh - he’s supposed to be dead but he certainly isn’t buried yet!! Still another day for that to take place.
Thank you....I didn’t read that anywhere...
Sen John McCain’s uncle served in the army and is buried at Arlington national cemetery.
I have no clue who his sons are, but sure wish I could say the same about his daughter.
