Two key Republican senators signaled to President Donald Trump that he could replace Attorney General Jeff Sessions after the midterm elections in November, a move that would open the way for firing Robert Mueller or constraining his probe into Russian meddling in the 2016 election.
The presidents entitled to an attorney general he has faith in, somebody thats qualified for the job, and I think there will come a time, sooner rather than later, where it will be time to have a new face and a fresh voice at the Department of Justice, Senator Lindsey Graham of South Carolina, who may be in line to head the Judiciary Committee next year, told reporters Thursday. Clearly, Attorney General Sessions doesnt have the confidence of the president. ... That represents a significant shift from Grahams stance a year ago, when he warned Trump publicly that if he fired Sessions there will be holy hell to pay.
Senator Chuck Grassley, the current Judiciary chairman, also changed his position on Thursday, saying in an interview that hed be able to make time for hearings for a new attorney general after saying in the past that the panel was too busy to tackle that explosive possibility.
Asked about a possible replacement for Sessions, Grassley took a different position from a year ago, when he warned the White House he didnt have time to do another confirmation hearing that year. ... I do have time for hearings on nominees that the president might send up here that I didnt have last year, Grassley of Iowa said Thursday.

Jeffy has got one foot out the door now. [Waving bye]
When do we need to put in a call to borrow some guillotines?
“Havent they hinted that they wont confirm a replacement nominee? That would make Rosenstein the Acting AG.”
Grassley is the chairman. He’s changed his mind.
Maybe Sessions is Q...:)
"Grassley took a different position from a year ago, when he warned the White House he didnt have time to do another confirmation hearing that year. ... I do have time for hearings on nominees that the president might send up here that I didnt have last year, Grassley of Iowa said Thursday. "
I think that’s exactly what Trump plans to do. Then let the new AG (Larry Klayman is my choice) fire Rosenstein and shut Mueller down.
So, if Sessions IS fired...where does that leave Q with "trust session?" Honest assessment please.
That’s what I’m assuming - there has been a change of mind. This cannot continue, it is tearing the country apart and a president must have an AG he can trust. This is insane.
Wow! What a team - I love those two.
“.where does that leave Q with “trust session?” “
Anyone that was saying ‘trust sessions’ after his recusal over a year ago is either heavily medicated, mentally ill, a moron, or a deepstate propaganda troll.
I already predicted this, and he should fire them both after the elections
Do you suppose that if Trump fires Sessions, Q-anon believers will rethink their support?
Maybe Sessions, Rosenstein and Mueller will all be hit by lightning at a Redskins game.
Q is openly saying he is a white hat...a good guy...and this fighting is all a show. That being said, my question is: If he is FIRED---that really blows that theory completely out of the water. I ALSO do not understand why Q would EVER want to leak this stuff in the first place (if he is real). It is TERRIBLE OPSEC. I'm a military guy. OPSEC is everything...and this (if it is real) is going to be one of the BIGGEST operations in the history of this country...BAR NONE. It will change this country on a level of WW II or the Civil War if there are indeed 40K sealed indictments....etc.
It makes ZERO sense to my military brain why anyone on the side of right would leak "Trust Sessions, Trust the Plan" so that the enemy could know the trap was being set. That is an OPSEC violation SUPREME.
After all, the enemy KNOWS what they are guilty of. The pedos KNOW what they have done. Bill and Hillary KNOW what they have done. They all do. It seems that KNOWING Trump and Sessions are secretly working together for their destruction (because Q is leaking it on 4chan and other sites...and we are even talking about it) gives them warning THEY DON'T NEED.
I mean...WHY do I need to know? To boost my morale? No thanks...I'd prefer to be surprised if it means my enemy is too!
I won’t believe that until it after it happens.
This has become a ‘Lucy-holding the football for Charlie Brown” type of scenario.
Till then, Jeff Sessions remains Comfortably Numb to whatever the President decides to say or tweet.
I would LOVE it if Q was real...I really would. But...I can't get past the OPSEC part. I can't understand how it's beneficial to leak "trust Sessions, trust the plan" knowing that those that Sessions and the plan are seeking to take down will ALSO be made aware that the "play-fighting" between Trump and Sessions is nothing but an act...and will take steps to protect themselves.
Why expose the agenda to destroy such evil? That is the dumbest idea EVER!
So, the ONLY possibilities that exist for who Q is (in my mind) are these: 1) They are just totally making this stuff up or 2) They are a deep-state plant...pretending to be a Trump supporter but really trying to warn deep-state/democrats about what Trump and Sessions are really up to. Thus, the know if they put this stuff out there, Trump supporters will ensure it gets maximum exposure and the message will get to their people.
But it makes ZERO sense that someone who is really for America...and really knows what is going on would leak something that would warn the "bad guys" that a plan is in place to take them out. That's just plain stupid.
And if someone has an explanation of why Q would not mind committing OPSEC violation after OPSEC violation that is warning the deep-state, Obama, Bill and Hill and a whole host of others that they are about to get fried...I'm all ears.
President Trump could've put a time limit on the investigation. Sometime around Memorial Day, Mueller should've been told to wrap it up and write a report by August 1. Perhaps President Trump should take some of the blame upon himself for real bad judgement, having Cohen as his lawyer and Omarosa in his inner circle. Manafort's the one I feel sorry for. He stepped forward and saved the nomination for President by winning primaries in PA and New England, and gets found guilty for stuff that had nothing to do with the campaign.
