Key Republicans (Grassley/Graham) Signal Trump May Fire Sessions After Election

Two key Republican senators signaled to President Donald Trump that he could replace Attorney General Jeff Sessions after the midterm elections in November, a move that would open the way for firing Robert Mueller or constraining his probe into Russian meddling in the 2016 election.

“The president’s entitled to an attorney general he has faith in, somebody that’s qualified for the job, and I think there will come a time, sooner rather than later, where it will be time to have a new face and a fresh voice at the Department of Justice,” Senator Lindsey Graham of South Carolina, who may be in line to head the Judiciary Committee next year, told reporters Thursday. “Clearly, Attorney General Sessions doesn’t have the confidence of the president.” ... That represents a significant shift from Graham’s stance a year ago, when he warned Trump publicly that if he fired Sessions “there will be holy hell to pay.”

Senator Chuck Grassley, the current Judiciary chairman, also changed his position on Thursday, saying in an interview that he’d be able to make time for hearings for a new attorney general after saying in the past that the panel was too busy to tackle that explosive possibility.

Asked about a possible replacement for Sessions, Grassley took a different position from a year ago, when he warned the White House he didn’t have time to do another confirmation hearing that year. ... “I do have time for hearings on nominees that the president might send up here that I didn’t have last year,” Grassley of Iowa said Thursday.

I’d settle for a “popular tribunal” a la the French Revolution.

When do we need to put in a call to borrow some guillotines?

“Haven’t they hinted that they won’t confirm a replacement nominee? That would make Rosenstein the Acting AG.”

Grassley is the chairman. He’s changed his mind.

We got quotes from these two so it makes it credible. Here's one.

"Grassley took a different position from a year ago, when he warned the White House he didn’t have time to do another confirmation hearing that year. ... “I do have time for hearings on nominees that the president might send up here that I didn’t have last year,” Grassley of Iowa said Thursday. "

I think that’s exactly what Trump plans to do. Then let the new AG (Larry Klayman is my choice) fire Rosenstein and shut Mueller down.

So, if he is fired, what will that say about Q? I ask as someone who is sitting on the fence and doesn't know what to think. I hope to God Q is real and the fact Sessions hasn't been a man and quit after all the abusive language and tweets makes me think its real...but on the other hand...I can't imagine tipping my hand to the enemy like Q is doing. Loose lips sinks ships and all. If He's for real, he is giving the enemy a real good heads up on what is coming.

So, if Sessions IS fired...where does that leave Q with "trust session?" Honest assessment please.

Does Q say "trust Sessions" because Sessions is one of "our guys"? Or does Q say "trust Sessions" because Sessions is controlled (he has skeletons to expose)? I remember the old Sessions, a real fired-up speaker. This Sessions has the feel of someone asleep at the wheel. How can that be reconciled? If Sessions is compromised, then the cabal and the patriots will be fighting for control over him. If that is the case, Q seems to think the patriots' control over Sessions is trustworthy. Or, maybe Sessions is still the same old fiery guy we all know and love, but he is in stealth mode playing the long game. I've been told he is known for catching people unawares -- this might just be more of the same. It's a great movie, but it better have a happy ending or millions are going to march on the theater with pitchforks and torches.

That’s what I’m assuming - there has been a change of mind. This cannot continue, it is tearing the country apart and a president must have an AG he can trust. This is insane.

“.where does that leave Q with “trust session?” “

Anyone that was saying ‘trust sessions’ after his recusal over a year ago is either heavily medicated, mentally ill, a moron, or a deepstate propaganda troll.

I already predicted this, and he should fire them both after the elections

Do you suppose that if Trump fires Sessions, Q-anon believers will rethink their support?

This is from REDDIT back in March: "Sessions is a white hat and you need to trust him, and stop bitching about him. Q says "trust Jeff Sessions" repeatedly. Q also says "Trust the plan" repeatedly."TRUST SESSIONS. TRUST WRAY. 2018 WILL BE GLORIOUS. Q"

Q is openly saying he is a white hat...a good guy...and this fighting is all a show. That being said, my question is: If he is FIRED---that really blows that theory completely out of the water. I ALSO do not understand why Q would EVER want to leak this stuff in the first place (if he is real). It is TERRIBLE OPSEC. I'm a military guy. OPSEC is everything...and this (if it is real) is going to be one of the BIGGEST operations in the history of this country...BAR NONE. It will change this country on a level of WW II or the Civil War if there are indeed 40K sealed indictments....etc.

It makes ZERO sense to my military brain why anyone on the side of right would leak "Trust Sessions, Trust the Plan" so that the enemy could know the trap was being set. That is an OPSEC violation SUPREME.

After all, the enemy KNOWS what they are guilty of. The pedos KNOW what they have done. Bill and Hillary KNOW what they have done. They all do. It seems that KNOWING Trump and Sessions are secretly working together for their destruction (because Q is leaking it on 4chan and other sites...and we are even talking about it) gives them warning THEY DON'T NEED.

I mean...WHY do I need to know? To boost my morale? No thanks...I'd prefer to be surprised if it means my enemy is too!

I won’t believe that until it after it happens.
This has become a ‘Lucy-holding the football for Charlie Brown” type of scenario.
Till then, Jeff Sessions remains Comfortably Numb to whatever the President decides to say or tweet.

Here is my "Q" dilemma-and I just posted extensively about it in a previous post: OPSEC. I wish someone who totally believes in Q could explain that ONE thing to me to help me make sense of it (instead of calling me a troll).

I would LOVE it if Q was real...I really would. But...I can't get past the OPSEC part. I can't understand how it's beneficial to leak "trust Sessions, trust the plan" knowing that those that Sessions and the plan are seeking to take down will ALSO be made aware that the "play-fighting" between Trump and Sessions is nothing but an act...and will take steps to protect themselves.

Why expose the agenda to destroy such evil? That is the dumbest idea EVER!

So, the ONLY possibilities that exist for who Q is (in my mind) are these: 1) They are just totally making this stuff up or 2) They are a deep-state plant...pretending to be a Trump supporter but really trying to warn deep-state/democrats about what Trump and Sessions are really up to. Thus, the know if they put this stuff out there, Trump supporters will ensure it gets maximum exposure and the message will get to their people.

But it makes ZERO sense that someone who is really for America...and really knows what is going on would leak something that would warn the "bad guys" that a plan is in place to take them out. That's just plain stupid.

And if someone has an explanation of why Q would not mind committing OPSEC violation after OPSEC violation that is warning the deep-state, Obama, Bill and Hill and a whole host of others that they are about to get fried...I'm all ears.

As much free time as Sessions appears to have and Q saying Sessions is a White hat and to trust him, makes you wonder if Sessions isn't Q

Can't imagine anyone getting confirmed or there not being a nation-threatening crisis if President Trump pulls a switch during a recess because he can. This when we're learning more about that low life worse than scum Michael Cohen? Cohen was taping his client and possibly giving him bad advice so he'd have a "get out of jail free" card if he ran afoul of the law....corrupt beyond comprehension.

President Trump could've put a time limit on the investigation. Sometime around Memorial Day, Mueller should've been told to wrap it up and write a report by August 1. Perhaps President Trump should take some of the blame upon himself for real bad judgement, having Cohen as his lawyer and Omarosa in his inner circle. Manafort's the one I feel sorry for. He stepped forward and saved the nomination for President by winning primaries in PA and New England, and gets found guilty for stuff that had nothing to do with the campaign.
