The Morandi Bridge has collapsed in the northern Italian city of Genoa.
The bridge, a part of the A10 motorway, is about 100 metres tall, Italian media say.
There are unconfirmed reports that cars may have been involved.
Photographs from the scene show huge sections of rubble on the ground underneath the middle of the bridge.

The Morandi Bridge was inaugurated in 1967. It is 90 yards high, just over three-quarters of a mile long, with the longest section between supports measuring 200 yards. Restructuring work was carried out in 2016.
Heavy rains cause a bridge to collapse? WTH?
It even happened over a Viaduct - Why a duck? Why a no chicken ?
A legitimate assumption with all of the muzloids they have let in there. And you're right... until proven otherwise.
I need another coffee;) Misread the lead as a storm being the cause - when it just happened to collapse ‘during a storm’.
Getting old and sloppy - sorry.
Over here PING
Storms? terrorscum? HD Gravity ...
Any thoughts ?
Storms also have high winds. Still, you would have expected winds strong enough to collapse the bridge to have done other damage elsewhere.
Its a resonance thing
Interesting. Like the I35W bridge collapse in Minneapolis, MN there are trains and a river underneath the bridge. In the case of the I35W bridge there are (or were at the time) several images of many construction vehicles parked on one side of the bridge and some intensive structural work and large deep chunks of the bridge that were excavated.
I wonder if the trains have an impact on the long term stability of the footings/pillars.
It wouldn’t be surprising if this was done along with a message sent to Italy’s govt: “Take the muslim refugees as you have been told to do or more infrastructure will fall. Refugees or death & destruction. Your choice.” Either way, they’re going down....unless they rise up and fight these bassturds with everything they got.
Has vid from part of the collapse.
It’s Italy. My bet is corruption.
That’s what occurred to me as well.
People here forget that Italy is a nation where graft and corruption is a way of life.
“Its a resonance thing”
A RE-Sounding experience ?
At least 11 dead when section of massive bridge collapses in Genoa, Italy
Its Italy. My bet is corruption.
Impoverishment is more likely, brought on in part by a massive influx of foreign freeloaders.
Yes, Italy has its mob, but a long living parasite does not kill the host.
Recall Berlusconi, giving the muzzies train tickets to Europe.
Also, recall Oriana Fallaci writing about the muzzies destruction of Italy.
And NOW, they turn the boats full of invaders back. Rightfully so.
When trillions of dollars of infrastructure dollars are dived to support welfare states home and abroad, it's a mess.
Galloping Gertie only lasted a little over 3 months, and its problem was obvious almost immediately. The bridge in Italy has been there for about 50 years. If it was from wind, the collapse should have happened long ago.
Fox now reports 22 dead.
