The so-called hijacker was too calm and scripted, but who knows what goes through someone's mind when they're fixing to pull their own plug. Possibility of medicinal help too, though he didn't sound intoxicated at all. So it wasn't like booze, pot, or any hallucinogen. IMHO.

In the fleet, “gouge” is used almost exclusively within naval aviation, Marines, Navy, Coast Guard. In use it means more than essential inside information. It can also connote worth, to the point of being praiseworthy, as in “Smiley’s soba truck is gouge!”.
Q is gouge.
There is a possibility that the guy had some pilot training in the past - lots of people learn to fly in something like a Cessna. But I don’t know how that translates into this scenario.
Just throwing that out there - I know a small number of people that have pilot’s licenses or are in the process of getting one.

This is a hard one 30 years ago at the Atlanta airport I sat in amazement that a plane could even get off the ground, so I can’t say nope guys just joyriding, but when he said he puked but he was ok I stopped listening... I got to go back and read I missed something.
