I was told that when greeting a horse for the first time, a person should always snort at the horse. Thought it was an old wives tale or something to make me look stupid.
Now, maybe not.

My Morgan stallion was overjoyed when he crushed me against the stall, stomped on my foot and bit me in the ass.
I will snort also, when I laugh really hard. I once had a great friend who snorted quite a bit when she laughed. It in itself was quite funny.
