People compartmentalize their lives. There may be a box labeled, “Vote Democrat” that was put into our heads in high school. The contents and context of that box may never be reexamined. So, all the other boxes that occur later, like our knowledge about what happens in Venezuela, for example, are less important because they are further away from the operating center of our beings. Aristotle said, ““Give me a child until he is 7 and I will show you the man.”
People vote Democrat because it takes intelligence and introspection to break our early programming. Our schools teach dumbed-down subjects and feelings.

There are a lot of theories. Mine is that historically, Jews were better accepted and more successful when they shed their religious behavior, particularly by non-Jews who were somewhat secular themselves. This was particularly true in the US. Leftism evolved from secularism, and Leftists have adopted a tribe mentality. Members of that tribe will defend it, irrationally, often against their natural self-interests.
Because, unlike many whites, "minorities" at least are capable of understanding their own best interests.
