Weird scenes inside the canyon

Reading this now, thanks to your suggestion. The book triggers two memories. The most recent is about Brice Taylor's book Thanks for the Memories .... Taylor describes L.A.-area parties where there would be multiple bowls of different drugs, free for the taking. The second is about my one truly rockstar friend, a member of a major U.S. band and author of '70s songs you'd instantly recognize. Long before I heard of Brice Taylor, this friend described similar parties. At one such party, he made a decision that he says saved his life -- he just dropped out of the rock scene, became a solo artist, and never turned back, except for occasional drop-in visits with his old band.

The friend never mentioned the Satanism that appears in both books, but I will certainly ask him the next time I see him.

Many of these people sold their soul to the Devil, and it appears that many were pleased if not happy with the bargain.

What a fascinating story.... and what a fortunate choice!

When you ask him, could you ask if he has knowledge about whether people LITERALLY sold their soul to the devil? I see that expression getting tossed around a lot and I am beginning to wonder how literally accurate this is. Sorry to sound a bit crazy, but I’m curious as to EXACTLY what people mean when they say this. What exactly transpires?
